Iwish love those reindeer ones.

Mummy link not working ...

I have never actually done the xmas eve thing , still unsure whether to do pj's for xmas eve or not.

Lilyloo · 01/12/2011 21:38

Smartypants love the deer ones , found it hard to find some for ds this year wish i had asked on here first

msbaublestwinkle · 01/12/2011 21:42

ASDA red ones with polka dots for the big DDs, the baby (not born yet but will be at Christmas!) has a sleep suit with birds on.

Moln · 01/12/2011 21:48

i have come to the conclusion that no one in Ireland makes nice boys pjs (well at a price I can afford)

Penneys (aka primark) ones are horrible this year, well at least they were when i last looked. M&S had a 25% off recently and only had the ones that were still a mental price left in the right sizes

i mighthave to cancel christmas at this rate (not an over reaction of course)

DD1 Asda

DD2 Boots

The Magic Elf will leave gifts on the door step on Christmas Eve - PJs, a Christmas book and a lavender microwave bear for DD1, and PJs, a Christmas book and something else, maybe Father Christmas socks for DD2. I might put in some Christmas biscuits or hot chocolate. There might also be some secret jingling bells. Oooh, and reindeer dust. So excited!

Moln · 01/12/2011 21:54

I have bought mine from peacocks for both DC (6 & 3) as they said they loved the ones from there last yr and at £6 each you can't go wrong!!! Grin

They come all bundled up with ribbons etc Smile

picnicbasketcase · 01/12/2011 22:36

DD (4) Pink checked from Primark, £4
DS (10) Simpsons ones from Primark £9

PreHeatedOven · 01/12/2011 22:40

Sainsburys; Gruffalo ones and Xmas sleepsuits. They have 25% all clothing until the 12th I think so bargains really.

PontyMython · 01/12/2011 22:47

I got them from Boots in the 3 for 2 section. Red fairy ones for DD, blue 'tin soldier' ones for DS. Can't find a pic online sorry, but big stores will have them.

We don't do a hamper, BTW, but the Elves leave the PJs on the doorstep on Xmas eve, along with a tree decoration each and, as of this year, a new story book to share.

They are also getting PJs from ILs who tend to send useful gifts, and DSD bought DD some Tangled PJs too... Going to be a jammietastic Xmas here.

BerryLellow · 01/12/2011 22:50

Asda Lightning McQueen ones.

moajab · 01/12/2011 22:52

Ds1 (10) Simpsons PJs from Primark
DS2 (7) England football PJs from Amazon
DS3 (3) Monster PJs from Primark

Meglet · 01/12/2011 22:58

Primark fleecy ones. TBH I wasn't that keen on the designs but the dc's will be excited.

Lasy year I bought the cotton checked Primark pj's but they're just not warm enough for winter and shrank after a while. Their fleece seems to be industrial strength stuff.

LordOfTheFlies · 02/12/2011 00:16

I bought Primark Fleecey for DC- DS has got navy blue with camoflague trousers (he's got a skull dressing gown, gave him it early). DD has got red spot trousers and a fleece top, can't remember pattern.

Their Christmas Eve Hampers are snowman boxes from HomeSense (like TKMaxx but only homewear).
PJs, fleece slipper boots, an annual, chocolate Lindt shapes, a sachet of hot chocolate, some mini biscuits, a special mug with a spoon, a Lush bath bomb and a big bag of sweets from an old fashioned sweetshop.

They will have these left in front of the fire after they come back from their Christmas Eve walk.
And a bag of Magic Reindeer Food

ThistleWhistle · 02/12/2011 00:31

I always think that Christmas pyjamas should be fleecy. DD has a pink fleecy pair from sainsburys and DS has these www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_233020502445_-1?breadcrumb=Home~Kids~Nightwear.

I wish someone bought me special Christmas Eve PJ's Envy.

ShowOfHands · 02/12/2011 09:27

Christmas is blooming brilliant. This thread has made me dance a little with joy (Christmas Radio Times out this weekend too).

Our Christmas Eve afternoon slowly notches up the excitement in increments. We go to the coast for a lovely long walk (tire them out before bed!) and as the mist inevitably rolls in across the sea, you know that the Master Elf and Father Christmas are casting a magical curtain between us and the skies so that no human eyes see the sleigh but if you listen very hard and stare for long enough you might just see a twinkle or hear a jingle and you know that he's up there. Then off home, into the bakery for some fresh bread for Christmas morning and a treat for after Christmas Eve dinner, to church to listen to the carollers and then home where the Master Elf puts in an appearance. Dinner is always stew out of the slow cooker. While dd baths in festive bubble bath (candles and christmas music to accompany), we light the yule log in the fire, start toasting marshmallows, warm hot chocolate and set out fleecy blankets and duvets in a big nest on the floor so that we can watch a Christmas film and read books before bed. This year I'm going to make gingerbread and chocolate truffles while the film is on, put out snacks for FC and his reindeer and generally jig about like a 3yr old.

And you must rush out in your pyjamas and dressing gown to scatter the reindeer food so that you have to run indoors again quickly and leap into bed to get away from the cold.

SOH - Please can I come to your house for Christmas?! Xmas Grin

MinnieBar · 02/12/2011 14:34

WELL. Parents got pjs for DD2, who is the only one who didn't need them as she could have had her big sister's ones, so it looks like I'm going to Primark... honestly, you give them a simple instruction... Xmas Wink
