ooh, ooh - Chirp - what about the cheesecakes in a jar here iammommy.typepad.com/i_am_baker/2011/05/cheesecake-in-a-jar.html

deemented · 02/09/2011 21:46

Grin at water.

Snowman soup is basicly the ingiedients of a really nice hot chocolate put together in a pretty bag.

You get your good quality drinking chocolate, put it into a V shaped bag, add mini marshmallows, then tie the top with a fancy ribbon. Tie onto it a candy cane and some instructions on how to make the perfect hot chocolate, and voila! Job done!

I would love to make - nappy cakes, candles that are herb scented for the kitchen, and homemade or decorated bags. Please could someone link me to any websites that have ideas for these and where to buy the materials. I would also like a ragdoll pattern/instruction that would be easyish to make. The snowman soup idea is good, thanks.

theancientmarinator · 02/09/2011 21:58

hmmm... been looking at the cupcakes in a jar on pinterest today and not 100% convinced I wouldn't rather just receive a really pretty cupcake in a box. I'd like to be convinced though because I love the convenience factor. Someone convince me please?

deemented · 02/09/2011 21:59

Fuck fuck fuck. Just gone to get the memory card from the laptop and it's gone. Had it yesterday. Fuck. Chaos - your pic will have to wait, sorry lovely.

ChirpChirp - that photo is gorgeous!

BabyDubs - no practical experince but that sounds yummy! I might give it a go for FIL.

Pretty please could someone send me a Pintrest invitation? I requested one on weds but still no joy and wanted to have a play this weekend... TIA

chirpchirp · 03/09/2011 07:15

Thanks LoveinaColdClimate. If you PM me your email address I'll send you an invite.

LoveInAColdClimate · 03/09/2011 07:29

Thanks, chirpchirp - have done so!

DoingTheBestICan · 03/09/2011 07:34

I think christmas pudding brandy sounds lush,i might have a try at that myself.

Oh just had a thought you could use the soaked fruit actually in a christmas pudding or you could have it with ice-cream & a splash of brandy over the top as a quick desert.

I am thinking of making a small notice board for each of my nieces in pretty fabrics.

tegan · 03/09/2011 07:51

Chirpchirp i have pm you with my email if you could please add me too thanks you x

ChippyMinton · 03/09/2011 08:21

You lot are organised! Chirpchirp and kveta - I love your pinterest boards Smile

Have got a load of booze sitting here which won't get drunk (gifts/party leftovers). Any suggestions how I can Christmas-ify:
two half-full 1l bottles of vodka
half a litre of bacardi
a bottle of cuban white rum?

Links to instructions would be fab, and suggestions for bottles for decanting.

Merry Christmas!

theancientmarinator · 03/09/2011 08:57

Try ebay, Lakeland or Ikea for big bottles and www.miniatureglassbottles.co.uk for miniatures. I envy your boozelake and your self control not just finishing it up! How about bramble/christmas pud/chilli/raspberry/citrus for the vodka?

LoveInAColdClimate · 03/09/2011 09:00

I bet Christmas pudding rum would be delicious!

deemented · 03/09/2011 09:19

I've decided i'm going make mini Christmas cakes as gifts too. Basicly just little squares of cake covered in marzipan and icing then with a ribbon and a litte decoration. I might actually do little bits of things, and put together a little hamper for Manshapes nan.

corkythecat · 03/09/2011 09:31

Sorry to be a pain but could you please send me a pintrest invitation too please Chirpchirp have PM'd my e-mail address to you
