Just wondering what I he could have instead.

Maybe a glass of Baileys and something sweet from M&S? Any recommendations?

LOL Minnie. Go on...start that thread. I'm a bit fed up and would love to see a good bunfight!

MinnieMummy · 23/12/2010 18:51

Can't now - we're a DOD!

I thought it was a bit quiet on here, but really...

We leave out port and a mince pie and we find santa always draws a smiley 'thank you' face in the icing sugar snow.

We have glitter food this year too.

And we shall do the snowy footprints on the mat ... can't wait!

jacksgrannie · 24/12/2010 15:45

DGC just arrived (excited, me - just a bit!).

We always leave out a glass of sherry and mince pie for Santa and carrots for Rudolph.

Tis the rules from Christmas past.

RockinRobinBird · 24/12/2010 15:50

Mince pie and a cup of tea for FC and a carrot and a bowl of water for Rudolph. We're very traditional here but don't approve of drunk driving Xmas Smile

cheesesarnie · 24/12/2010 15:58

santa told my children when we visited his grotto on monday that he would like a cup of tea,a biscuit and an apple cut up for rudolph.thought was bit cheeky as dd had just been telling him that they planned to leave out a glass of sherry,a mince pie for santa and a carrot and bowl of milk for the reindeers.he said,i dont want that this year!

simpson · 24/12/2010 16:10

another one who leaves out a couple of biscuits with a glass of milk for santa and a carrot for Rudolph Smile

Flame · 24/12/2010 16:15

coke. Ds saw Santa drinking it on the advert and now won't accept anything else. A bottle has been sat on the fireplace all week. I went to open it last night and my (childless male) friend told me off for even considering swiping santa's coke.

cheesesarnie · 24/12/2010 16:22

flame!how could you?

pigleychez · 24/12/2010 17:33

We made choc chip cookies for Santa today :)

Elibean · 24/12/2010 19:22

Mince pie and glass of water for poor Santa (and lucky dh, who loves mince pies) and carrot for Rudolph...and dd2 (4) has wrapped a wrinkly parcel for Santa, because she feels so sorry for him giving presents all the time and not getting any.

She woke me up at 3am to tell me that last bit, before anyone tells me how sweet that is Xmas Hmm

babysbreath · 24/12/2010 19:42

We have left out two mince pies and a glass of red wine for Father Christmas. For Rudolph we have put out an apple.

When I was a child it was a mince pie and a sherry!

Merry Christmas to you all.

This year DD ages 3 has chosen to leave a little tray out with:

A little glass of mango juice
A satsuma (they are DDs favourite, Santa will like them)
Carrot for Rudolph
Mince pie

Took lots of photos.... had forward thinking day dream to when she's out at friend's party mocking the believers at home..... sigh...

As Rudolph will munch the whole carrot... no body will be biting into it.

I LOVE IT!!!!

TrinityMotherOfRhinos · 24/12/2010 20:31

my girls have put down a mince pie, a chocolate chip cookie and a snowval for santa and for the reindeers a bowl of milk and 9 carrots lol

TrinityMotherOfRhinos · 24/12/2010 20:31

*snowball

Breezy1985 · 24/12/2010 20:57

Santa's got 2 yogurts here Hmm lemonade, orange juice. Rudolph has reindeer food and a carrot.

LesbianMummy1 · 24/12/2010 22:41

my dc's left out greggs sausage rolls, pombears and a fruitshoot

ok seriously mince pie carrot and milk

nappyaddict · 24/12/2010 22:52

We leave a glass of baileys and either jam tarts, cookies or brownies. One each for FC and Mrs C and one cut up into very small pieces for the elves. Carrot and a parsnip for rudolph, reindeer food and a bowl of water.

dustycups · 24/12/2010 23:07

my friend has spent half hour throwing carrots onto her roof for the reindeers, not sure why she dont trust santa to take them up!

HSMM · 24/12/2010 23:11

DD has put out choc biscuit, glass of milk and grapes

FiveColdRingsForSolo · 24/12/2010 23:15

Dd wanted to leave a mince pie and a glass of milk, I added the carrot for Rudolph, then thought Xmas Hmm who will have to munch that then?! oops!

notanewmember · 24/12/2010 23:17

Few years ago dc1 put a slice of toast out for Santa, thought it would make a nice change. Can't spare any carrots so reindeers will get some oats.

MinnieMummy · 24/12/2010 23:19

Carrot bitten into, crumbs left, glasses empty, flour-and-glitter footprints left... I think we're there!

Merry Christmas one and all

I put his glass of Bailey's ready early for him - but the bugger must be in a time-warp as it's already been emptied!!!

vasillisa · 26/12/2010 09:20

My sister put out oats and glitter for the reindeer :)
