I'm getting my OH the new Call of Duty game for the xbox.
This way I won't feel so guilty spending my evenings playing on my new Sims 3 DS game he's getting me. Grin

nickytwotimes · 29/11/2010 12:25

nothing!

money is tight so onnly under 18s this year.

HippyHippopotamus · 29/11/2010 12:25

i'm lurking for any good ideas i can 'borrow' :)

nickytwotimes · 29/11/2010 12:26

...but to be more helpful, what about a magazine subscription?

1234ThumbScrew · 29/11/2010 12:26

No idea everything he wants is £££££ and even he can't think of anything within a reasonable price.

Ragwort · 29/11/2010 12:29

Nothing - we agree not to buy for each other (I seriously do not like his taste in gifts, fed up of pretending after 22 years of marriage Grin). In the past he has bought me earrings for pierced ears (my ears aren't pierced); music CDs - I NEVER listen to music; clothes which are too small and 'tarty'; books which I have no interest in the subject. I fully accept that what I have chosen for him is probably not to his liking so this is best all round !

ethelina · 29/11/2010 12:29

Well i'm getting him a new mattress for our bed but in return he's buying me a new fridge freezer.

We're putting the new laptop on hold for now.

Can you tell whats been happening in our house this week? Grin

fruitful · 29/11/2010 12:29

Mine's getting a fifth of a Wii, and a game (as is everyone else in the family, including me)

neverenoughMEtime · 29/11/2010 13:00

Mine is getting the inbetweeners box set Grin

KittyFoyle · 29/11/2010 13:11

I'll play my drum for him

Shodan · 29/11/2010 13:14

Golf trousers.

The latest Terry Pratchett book.

Thermal socks.

The A-Team DVD.

There was something else that I thought was really good and I was impressed with myself for thinking of it but I've forgotten what it is now...

He's getting new golf clubs from everyone else. We live a rip-roaring life you know.

The bugger of it is that he rarely wants anything and when he does he just buys it. He doesn't drink, doesn't wear aftershave and certainly doesn't do anything to his car that would warrant the purchase of one of those lovely Christmas car-cleaning gift sets.

FloozyintheJacuzzi · 29/11/2010 13:15

mine is getting this piece of man-jewellery

and these very delightful pyjama bottoms (which he asked for, I hasten to add!)

and this because he is an old gimmer.

boogeek · 29/11/2010 13:16

I'm getting him a kindle, no idea if he will like it (but I will).

HannahHack · 29/11/2010 13:20

Nigel Slater's Real Food (got it cheap)
Handmade apron (it's blokey)
keyboard cat t-shirt
Bottle of cognac/whiskey (if I have any money left!)

gingercat12 · 29/11/2010 13:22

The new book by Bethany Mclean.

SixtyFootDoll · 29/11/2010 13:33

I was all set to buy him a kindle until the ad came on tv last night, and he said 'or gods sake dont buy me that bit o tat' Hmm]

Tikiinasantahat · 29/11/2010 13:41

nothing

IDontLikeDisciples · 29/11/2010 13:43

A case of his favourite ( but hard to source) ale, Russel Howard tickets and some lovely la perla for meeeeeee.

BOOkleSpookle · 29/11/2010 13:44

No idea! Last year I bought him a laptop, finances are tighter this year so I might buy him a bag to put said laptop in.

Oooh, and I've got him a yard of Jaffa Cakes Grin

pommedeterre · 29/11/2010 13:47

A pear tree. Is that a bit weird?
Will get him a nice pen as well I think.

Ragwort · 29/11/2010 13:48

Where did you get the yard of Jaffa Cakes from BOOKleSpookle - can't find any around here ?

ShirtyGerty · 29/11/2010 13:54

A new dressing gown, some accessories for his bike, jelly babies and a chocolate orange. Sounds a bit boring but that lot will make him really happy!

dinkystinky · 29/11/2010 13:56

We've set each other a £50 limit this year - am getting him a voucher for a wet shave (he likes this), a candy cane, and buying him a session for an outdoor military training in the park thingy.

PrematureEjoculation · 29/11/2010 13:58
