Yesterday I received a gorgeous pack of coasters that we can put pictures in, and a box from Amazon with toys including a Rubiks magic puzzle for my ds's.

I want to say a huge thank you to whichever person sent them. They are perfect and the feeling someone cares enough to have nominated and / or bought for us makes a difference. Two weeks ago we thought we were about to become homeless after a bloody rough year and although that has passed we're still feeling very shaken and it's so good to have some light out there. Christmas stands between now and our ds4 being seen at the Paediatrician's request (for those who don't know ds1 has asd, ds2 dyspraxia and ADD, ds3 asd) and this has given me the Christmas spirit I was missing.

Hi has anyone received a card marked on the back with 36D???? It was on it's way to a place with no snow - and I haven't heard anything!! I posted it last Thursday and should have been received on Monday at the latest !!!

I am doing a little Christmas meal tomorrow for tea as both Dcs missed their playgroup/school parties due to chickenpox so she will insist on wearing it then and will will be using some of the the crackers etc.

I have to say I think I would have been going slowly insane without the crafty stuff as DS off school but now feeling ok iyswim and is bored so the arty stuff has really helped.

I have saved the "3 little pigs & wolf" puppets to do on friday

Well I'm having a frustrating day today - DD2 off school ill and today was my wrapping day.

So now I have no childfree time at all to wrap except after they've gone to bed and I can be sure they're fully asleep.

I've been stomping and muttering all morning about not sleeping for a few hours each night.And then low and behold the postman comes and cheers me up, and makes me weep simultaneously.

Thank you my MN Secret Santa (no code on the card at all to thank you properly ).

It's a WHSmith giftcard to treat the DCs with, I shall tell them the origin of the gift and take them all next week to get them to choose something themselves as I really think that this whole process of kindness and thoughtfulness is a great thing for them to learn about. I am hoping that they will absorb the principles of this and maybe can learn about compassion and take it with them in their futures.

These last 2 years have been very difficult for us, as DH has been out of work for most of it, and although he's back in work now, as you can imagine, we have a hell of a lot of financial catching up to do. I'm hoping that next year I can be in the position to donate something.

So, , thank you so much Secret Santa (who sent a Marlborough High Street card).
