How many other people are buying gifts for your children?

Besides you and the child's other parent, I mean?

It's 4 for us: 2 grannies, a separate grandpa plus an uncle. I thought that was A LOT (it means an extra 12 items under the tree for the children) but I have a feeling it's on the low side compared to many?

Under the tree = 1 from my parents one from dh's parents and then 1 from us!

But father christmas is very generous and brings a massive stocking......

Not many! Small family.

My parents have got them one present each, and my two grannies usually give money although may bring a charity shop teddy or similar.

Other than that my DCs only get presents from my DSCs, who can't spend a lot but always seem to choose the perfect gifts!

Generally presents from others are opened on different days because Xmas itself is just the 4 of us (DSCs live with their mum)

Since it's his first Christmas I think DS will bee getting presents from 2 aunties and 3 uncles, some will be multiple presents knowing a certain auntie. One set of grandparents will get a couple of practical things, the other will spend an obscene amount of money on clothes and plastic tat. I'm slightly apprehensive about thus tbh since we personally have bought him 1 thing.

They have another 5 aunts and uncles but they don't buy for ours.

1 set grandparents/4 sets Aunts/Uncles/3 Godparents/3 close family friends - that's why I don't go mad and buy too much for my DS (note - most relatives check first with me what is 'suitable' to buy ) - or give money/vouchers.

2 sets of grandparents (although one set always does premium bonds plus only a token present), 1 great-grandmother, 1 set of aunt/uncle.

Plus PIL's neighbour and my parents neighbour (although only a bag of golden coins or similar, not big wrapped presents).

And there's usually a small present (selection pack or similar) from ds1's football team.

my parents, brother and sister. 2 of my friends will buy them a small gift up to a fiver each, and i will for theirs.

Used to be more but we stopped talking to DPs Mum and sister so now it is just my family. The ones I have named are just close relatives and my Uncles are closer in age to me than my mother and we grew up together so more like my brothers.

Oh and we have two DC so 16 extra presents at least and some of them buy two, because I was a tenn mother they try to help out more than they normally would.

on christmad day itself it will be just the four of us so not so much under the tree but will see other relations over the next few days

So think they will end up with plenty!

Not as many this year. Friends buy for them as do my mum and exdh's mum. I've told sis and her dd not to and they're happy. We only bought for the dcs anyway but I don't live near them now so not so easy. Never bothered with brother and his family.

I think they can end up with too much anyway. DS2 once ended up playing with pound shop soldiers all day that were a stocking filler

I have 4dc. They get far too much. Not only do we give them too much but they get

3 or 4 each from my parents
1 each from 2 sets of my grandparents
1 each from 2 of my aunts
1 each from my uncle
1 each from 3 of my cousins
1 each from dh's cousin
token gift from neighbour

sometimes dh's family in Scotland might send some bits down too.

My youngest 3 are teenagers now (but still at school and expecting presents!), and GP are no longer around. So it's down to me and DH mostly.

The 17 yearold will still get gift from his godmother, and older sibs. He will get nothing from uncles and aunts because in our family Christmas and birthday presents stop at 16......apart from 18th. 21st, engagement and wedding gifts!

The 15 and 13 yearolds will get gifts from godparents, uncles and aunts on my side but most likely nowt from DH side. Older sibs always buy lovely (expensive!) gifts for all 3 younger brothers.....usually clothes now they are older.

They do accept now they are older there will be less presents under the tree......It's more about the food, meeting other family members, and spending time doing things we enjoy.

1. Maybe his gg aunt will send some balloons in a card, but thats it
