Best & worst Julia Donaldson book? (In your opinion)

For me I love Tabby McTat and Smeds & the Smoos. Least favourite is Stickman.

Room on the broom is by far my favourite, the king and the cook is my least favourite (I had to read it aloud what felt like 100 times!). I have an enormous amount of love for Julia Donaldson

Stickman is by far the worst! Cannot abide that book. People seem to love it and I’ve ended up with theatre tickets to see the show 3 times by well-meaning friends.

I like Jack and the Flum Flum Tree.

Zog is probably the one I like the least, although I'm not mad keen on The Gruffalo but I know that will be an unpopular opinion!

Haven't read them all, but of the ones I have:

Worst: Tyrannosaurus Drip
(for rhyming dinosaur and war). "What the Ladybird Heard" is also not a favourite.

Best: The Gruffalo.

Love Paper Dolls although it makes me cry. I also cried the first time I heard Stickman read aloud (didn't even have a child then). Also like the Smeds and the Smoos.

For some reason I hate the Smartest Giant in Town.

The ugly five is the best! My ds loves hyenas and lappett faced vultures and we can never find books featuring them. Also the scarecrows wedding.

The worst for me is Tabby McTat. Very dull and it feels like it's never ending.

I love The Scarecrows Wedding. But my absolute favourite is Room On The Broom. I think it is genius writing.

Not such a big fan of The Highway Rat.

Worst: Tyrannosaurus Drip or Stick Man - although probably because I've had to read both of them a thousand times to my two DS' 😂
