In Butterfly Beach, Jacqueline Wilson's £1 World Book Day book, we once again meet the unlikely best friends from The Butterfly Club. To celebrate its publication on 2 March, we're asking you to tell us your favourite Jacqueline Wilson books.

Selma can't wait to go on holiday with her best friend forever, Tina. But a holiday with Tina means a holiday with her triplet sisters, too - and it's not long before Selma feels like the odd one out. Can their shared love of butterflies bring Selma and Tina together again?

Did you know that Jacqueline has also recently turned her hand to writing historical books, including Hetty Feather, Clover Moon and modern-day retellings of classic stories including Katy (based on What Katy Did) and Four Children and It (based on Five Children and It). And we're giving you the chance to read (or re-read!) some of these titles, and more. All you need to do is tell us...

Did you have a favourite Jacqueline Wilson book growing up? Do your DCs have different favourites today? Let us know to win a whole library of Jacqueline Wilson books, worth £100.

Butterfly Beach is just £1 or FREE with your child's World Book Day token.

This discussion is sponsored by Penguin Random House and ends on 16 March

I loved cliffhanger as a child. I cannot wait to share these books with my kids and would love to read her new books that have come out since I last read them!

maureenm48 · 13/03/2017 16:39

Tracy Beaker (read these books with children - too old to have read them as a child).

emmav6 · 13/03/2017 21:34

i loved The Mum Minder when i was younger, my son enjoys Four Children and It more though x

maria08k · 14/03/2017 13:35

Anyone remember "Mark Spark in the Dark" ? I LOVED that book!!! Also loved her Tracy Beaker books too.

hatchypomagain · 14/03/2017 13:38

My DD loves JW and we've had the pleasure of meeting her twice. She loves the character Queenie and spent 4 hours drawing cats on her pj's for world book day. my DD is profoundly deaf and wears cochlear implants, I think her world would explode if JW ever did a character like her !

Dessallara · 14/03/2017 20:01

the Hetty Feather series, all family enjoys reading them :)

RJnomore1 · 14/03/2017 20:07

I'm too old to have read them as a child but I'm going through my second child who is obsessed with them. Dd2 is 12 and she's showing no sign of giving up there's airways a book in her hand/bag. Her favourite is My Sister Jodie.

I love her being such a bookworm. Dd1 loved Tracy beaker back in the day .

Jenerate · 14/03/2017 21:10

I am way too old to have read them as a child. Tracy Beaker was the first one I came across, and now my goddaughter adores them, all of them.

worriedmum46 · 14/03/2017 22:05

I loved Tracey Beaker but my daughter thinks she is too naughty. She loves Lottie best.

LetBartletBeBartlet · 14/03/2017 22:12

dd(10) has only just discovered Jacqueline Wilson, and is two books in. Her favourite thus far is 'the Dare Game', and she's already got another couple lined up on request at the library.

I didn't read any JW as a child, so we're pretty much discovering them together.

TiggersAngel7774 · 14/03/2017 22:52

GROWING up i had only heard of Tracey Beaker,

Gill81uk · 14/03/2017 23:14

I was a bit old for Jaqueline Wilson unfortunately. I came across The Monster Story Teller while reading with a young boy at school and was very impressed. He was able to read it to me, and felt as though he was reading a "real" book for older kids, but the language in it was very simple and every day. Perfect for a reluctant reader. I have introduced my son to Lizzie Zipmouth and he is really enjoying it. I look forward to discovering more.

pinkspideruk · 14/03/2017 23:35

Tracy Beaker was my favourite of her books - I loved the fact she was so odd and quite horrible at times but you could till relate to her as she just wanted to be lovd an in a proper home

itsalisoncr · 15/03/2017 01:14

I absolutely loved these books! I read candy floss over and over again they were the most amazing books! I also loved to read the Tracy beaker story of course. I think they are excellent for teaching children about moral and social issues too.

snare · 15/03/2017 10:59

I love heatty feather :)

clarabella12 · 15/03/2017 13:28

Tracey Beaker although I watched it rather than reading it.

Flapdoodles · 15/03/2017 20:08

I am too old for Jacquline Wilson unfortunately. My DD however loves Jacqueline Wilson and her favourite book is Bad Girls closely followed by Lizzie Zipmouth. She really enjoys JW books and is hoping for more for her coming birthday.

cocochips · 15/03/2017 20:12

My daughter loves The Butterfly Club

KJaybaby · 15/03/2017 21:30

I never read the Jacqueline Wilson books but I've bought a number for my nieces ..... they love the Tracey Beaker series x

halcyondays · 16/03/2017 11:49

My dds are always rereading their JW books, especially Queenie and Sleepovers. I read some of her old books for teenagers when I was young, I like Waiting for the Sky to Fall as it dealt with exam stress, I must have been studying for my GCSEs when I read it

SorchaMumsnet · 16/03/2017 14:20

Thanks all for sharing your most loved Jacqueline Wilsons. Some of our favourites at MNHQ have to be The Illustrated Mum, Girls in Love and of course, Tracy Beaker!

Congratulations to our winner DramaInPyjamas who has won the Jackie Wilson book bundle worth £100. Happy reading!
