In Butterfly Beach, Jacqueline Wilson's £1 World Book Day book, we once again meet the unlikely best friends from The Butterfly Club. To celebrate its publication on 2 March, we're asking you to tell us your favourite Jacqueline Wilson books.

Selma can't wait to go on holiday with her best friend forever, Tina. But a holiday with Tina means a holiday with her triplet sisters, too - and it's not long before Selma feels like the odd one out. Can their shared love of butterflies bring Selma and Tina together again?

Did you know that Jacqueline has also recently turned her hand to writing historical books, including Hetty Feather, Clover Moon and modern-day retellings of classic stories including Katy (based on What Katy Did) and Four Children and It (based on Five Children and It). And we're giving you the chance to read (or re-read!) some of these titles, and more. All you need to do is tell us...

Did you have a favourite Jacqueline Wilson book growing up? Do your DCs have different favourites today? Let us know to win a whole library of Jacqueline Wilson books, worth £100.

Butterfly Beach is just £1 or FREE with your child's World Book Day token.

This discussion is sponsored by Penguin Random House and ends on 16 March

I never read any myself when younger, but my DD liked them & I think her favourite is Butterfly Club.

caralianne · 18/02/2017 17:34

I remember enjoying tracy beaker, my daughter has also read and enjoyed this book

allthingsred · 18/02/2017 17:37

I loved Tracey beaker but my dd10 really enjoyed the hetty feather series

Emmy011 · 18/02/2017 17:53

I grew up reading all of Jacqueline Wilson's books! My favourite was Double Act (1995), my sister and I dressed up as the characters for World Book Day when we were about 9. I also loved Girls in Love (1997) and The Suitcase Kid (1992). I miss reading those books! My little girl is too little at the moment, but I can't wait to read all my old favourites with her as well as the newest books I haven't read yet!

EskSmith · 18/02/2017 17:57

Another one too old for them growing up. Dd's favourites are Katy and The Lottie Project. Mine are Opal Plumstead and 4 children and it.

Missgreenywood · 18/02/2017 19:36

My favourite was girls in love ❤

queenoftheschoolrun · 18/02/2017 19:47

Another one too old, glad it's not just me! DD loved the Hetty Feather series. In fact she's been re-reading them over half term.

Elliepurpleflower · 18/02/2017 20:23

I remember loving double act and Tracy Beaker. I watched the tv series of Hetty Fether and thought it was great, I look forward to reading it with my daughter when she's a tiny bit older.

lhlee62 · 18/02/2017 20:42

Tracy Beaker was my favourite and then when they made the TV series my brother's friend was cast as Lol.

mave · 18/02/2017 21:01

I'm too old to have read her books but my daughter's favourite is Hetty feather! I took her to see it in the theatre, it was absolutely brilliant!

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 18/02/2017 21:07

The only one I read as a child / teen, which was a very early one called Waiting For The Sky To Fall. It had an emotional intensity most books don't have and I think that is a clue to why she became such a star. It was before she had developed her characteristic very simple language which I think has opened up the pleasure of reading to so many children (my dd included).
I still have to buy them all even though dd and I have in theory grown out of them...

transitpan · 18/02/2017 21:26

Girls in love, can't wait until my dd can enjoy them in a couple of years!

pfcpompeysarah · 18/02/2017 21:36

I'm a bit too old for these books, I was more of the Famous Five, Secret Seven, Mallory Towers era myself shamefully shakes head at how old I am and I have a son so he has not been into Jacqueline Wilson books, his are all about dragons, quests, or something to do with mystical beings and the like... I am hoping my niece will be into JW's books as she loves reading and it would be nice to introduce her to some of her work.

Narnianescape · 18/02/2017 22:07

Loved 'The Cat Mummy' when I was a kid amongst many others.

melonpanini · 19/02/2017 00:00

Tracy Beaker

Sid98 · 19/02/2017 00:17

Tracy beaker and hetty feather

kennythekangaroo · 19/02/2017 09:59

I'm a bit old for her books the first time round but I did enjoy her new versions of the E Nesbitt books, Katy especially. DD has loved her historical books particularly the Hetty Feather series which has sparked a real interest in Victorian history for her.

TALLULAHBELLE · 19/02/2017 10:02

My 9 year old loves Hetty Feather and my 8 year olds favourites are The Butterfly Club and The Suitcase Kid. I didn't read her when I was younger- those were the days of Judy Blume.

vixxx666 · 19/02/2017 11:02

I LOVED The Illustrated Mum!
My oldest boy loves ready Tracy Beaker.

grannybiker · 19/02/2017 12:48

She loved the Lottie Project while my favourite is Vicky Angel. (Read as a "Grown-up" as JW wasn't in our school library!)

amelia4levi · 19/02/2017 13:26

Glubslyme! the first i ever read that got me loving JW!

bookwormish · 19/02/2017 13:43

Ooooooooh! My Dsis and I both grew up on Tracey Beaker and Illustrated Mum but bookwormish-kid (9) LOVES Jaqueline Wilson books more than we ever did. She first discovered Sleepovers a little while ago, followed by Best Friends which she carried around with her. Then she fell in love with the Hetty Feather series and Candyfloss. However, her favourite, most loved battered book is still Best Friends.

maisiesnan · 19/02/2017 14:14

Unfortunately I'm too old to have read them as a child but my daughter was forever reading Tracey Beaker and now my granddaughter is just starting to read The Butterfly Club

Ashhead24 · 19/02/2017 14:18

The suitcase kid, loved it, still remember the jelly round the ankles. DS is too little for them yet but will definitely be reading them with him when he's older.

ktlq · 19/02/2017 20:14

I am too old to have had Jacqueline's books when I was growing up. I remember buying Roald Dahl's Matilda when it came out in hardback! It was utterly magical at the time as I remember all the book shops' windows being packed with copies. Recently though we went to a brilliant exhibition about Jacqueline's works at the Bethnal Green Museum of Childhood and I thought that her life sounded very interesting, and how we must read her books when the time came. And now the time is coming! We're nearly 8 years old and I can't believe how time is flying by. Reading together is such a pleasure. Am loving re-discovering old classics and finding new treasures. Can't wait to read Jacqueline's back catalogue!
