Hello all
I have been reserving library books to read to DS that I enjoyed as a child.

I was wondering if you would be so kind to re-jog my memory of more book by letting me know your favourite stories if you were a primary school child in this era.

Many thanks!

No one has mentioned Noel Streatfield.

Ballet Shoes obvs but my favourite is White Boots, mainly because I did ice skating and wanted to be an undiscovered talent...oh well.

Michelle Magorian's Going Home (same author as Goodnight Mr Tom) was the first book I remember losing about two hours to. I looked up and suddenly it had got dark.

As a small child I love a book that featured Tim and ginger. It was set by the sea and they had adventures. If anyone knows what I am babbling on about please let me know!

My favourite book, Ramona the Pest by Geraldine Quimby. About a little, skinny girl who had straight hair which wouldn't curl, just like me. She got into scrapes, unlike me because I was a boring child who always had her nose in a book. I've still got that book and my hair still won't curl.
