Hello all
I have been reserving library books to read to DS that I enjoyed as a child.

I was wondering if you would be so kind to re-jog my memory of more book by letting me know your favourite stories if you were a primary school child in this era.

Many thanks!

There's a really good book that our teacher read out loud to us. Can't remember what it was called but it was about a guide dog. The whole year 5 class were engaged listening to it.

I remember reading The Indian In The Cupboard - it was quite long but I felt so proud once I'd finished it!

I loved the Indian in the cupboard. I'm fairly sure they nicked that idea when they made night in the museum.

One of my favourites was Woof by Allan Ahlberg. I think he did a book of poetry about being at primary school too, that was quite funny IIRC.

Shouldwe - thank you for the recommendation. The Mystery of the Whistling Caves is now in my Amazon basket. My son may be a bit young for it but I can read it first and it will keep.
