From the award-winning Kes Gray and the winner of the Roald Dahl Funny Prize, Jim Field, comes an hilarious rhyming tale about a frog who discovers that all animals have their special places to sit!

Cats sit on mats, hares sit on chairs, mules sit on stools and gophers sit on sofas, but Frog does not want to sit on a log! Jam-packed with animals and silliness, this original rhyming story will have young children in fits of laughter.

'An absolute treat.' - Daily Mail

'Hilarious illustrations and rhymes which are easy to recite and join in. Everyone will love it.' - The Guardian

One Christmas when I still lived with my parents, mum had left the turkey out to defrost and the cat was asleep on top of it 😀

We couldn't find our cat Herme and then noticed a tiny face in the Christmas tree hidden well by the flashing lights. She was quite well camouflaged and was just silently watching us. Maybe hiding from 22month old ds.

Our sadly passed cat was a bit if an explorer (should have called her Dora!) and loved jumping in drawers and cupboards. One day she managed to run in the wardrobe unnoticed and was then shut in. Sometime later we heard mewing and opened to wardrobe to find her walking along the top of the clothes hangers trying to find a way out. God knows what item of clothes she had clawed her way up to get up there!

Ok so I know this post is about where pets have hidden but just before my youngest was born we had no pets and then about three week before I was due to have him I could hear my neighbour shouting for help. she thought she had mice so my husband I go into the garden to see her practically standing on a garden chair pointing at this tiny little fluffy thing on her back step 9 o'clock at night and my husband goes round because he's not certain it a mouse turn out it was a hamster which had managed to find its way into her garden and although we had tried to Find out where she had come from we still have no idea so we ended up with very cute new pet which my eldest son christened goggy(doggy) sadly she died about four months the ago but she lived with us for almost 18 months

  1. My daughters old Hamster escaped & moved himself into her dolls house, stopping off via a bowl of left over salad to pick up a snack - he even rifled through a chest of drawers & we found Hamster food in them, he had filled his pouches for the journey & thought them good food drawersGrin
  1. Johnny Cat, not content with breaking into my workroom, (the only cat free space in the house) He decided lying on top of a pile of cloth wasn't good enough. He had to go for the full experience & encase himself in the middle of the full shelving.

  1. A baby Johnny caught hiding in the Xmas tree, hrs still a tinsel muncher 5 years later
  1. Checking on DD on Xmas eve to see if it was safe to let Santa in, we found Johnny tucked up in bed with her. We now know that sleeping & cuddling are his favourite pastimes Smile

I first found Tilly in my jeans! I wasn't wearing them at the time, but she managed to wriggle down a leg and fall sleep with her head poking out of the end :)

Her favourite spot, however, was the pot where the radishes had been planted. It was summer and I guess the soil was nice and warm!

The lovely Big Dave is a real man about town. I've lost count of the amount of places he has turned up but here is a selection from the past couple of weeks:

He sneaked into an NHS worker's van , we got a phone call to say he'd got him . Big Dave had some nice ham sandwich before he set off home.
Our next door neighbour found Big Dave asleep in their hot tub hut , we got a text asking if we would drop his swimming trunks round !
On Friday night he strutted into a charity night at the local pub and enjoyed some crisps before being dropped home.
We've learnt that everyone knows him and he often sleeps on people's sofas next to their cats ! Have never met as many people since we got him. Grin

This is Dukey who isnt very keen on the postman, and tends to lie and wait for him. This was the result, from my first christmas card of the year.

We lost our hamster, Gizmo for several hours and eventually found him stuck in the overflow pipe of the washing machine - it was a tricky business getting him out and he was a sorry sight but fortunately made a full recovery.

Suzi often would sneak into my room and lie on the bed, but this time she burrowed up under the covers and I found her lying there with her head on the pillow, looking very cosy!

My brothers pet snake once escaped from his tank and was found (eventually) stretched out on a stair, hiding behind the stair rod - slippery, sneaky little blighter!

My dog took a liking to my son's teddy. Found him curled up on it one day Grin

We found our cat under the bath and she was really tricky to get back out again, we had to take all the side off!

AnotherStitchInTime · 19/12/2015 22:30

My kitten has made a hole in the Base of a leather armchair which she uses to escape and then ambush bigger kitten.

We have a secure yard with 4 foot 8 solid walls and a 5 foot gate. Let my dogs out for a wee, came back 5 minutes later and there was only the Border Collie there. Looked over the wall, no sign.....looked down the backs ....no sign. Where the hell had the Labrador gone. Went out the front of the house and walked round to the back....no sign. Went back into the yard and then noticed something strnage in the guinea pig cage. yes you guessed it, there she was in as space about 3 foot long and 1 foot high..... STUCK... Stupid girl
