From the award-winning Kes Gray and the winner of the Roald Dahl Funny Prize, Jim Field, comes an hilarious rhyming tale about a frog who discovers that all animals have their special places to sit!

Cats sit on mats, hares sit on chairs, mules sit on stools and gophers sit on sofas, but Frog does not want to sit on a log! Jam-packed with animals and silliness, this original rhyming story will have young children in fits of laughter.

'An absolute treat.' - Daily Mail

'Hilarious illustrations and rhymes which are easy to recite and join in. Everyone will love it.' - The Guardian

Ds and I were chatting once and he suddenly said "mum, look at that spider on the ceiling", I looked up expecting to see a random arachnid and, to my surprise, it was actually one of my tarantulas who was only small and whom had escaped from its tank Hmm

I stood in the sofa to try and reach it, but couldn't, so had to enlist the help of dh who is much taller than I am. Thankfully, he was able to rescue my spider and no harm was done.

The strangest and funniest place my cat, Lily was found (after an hour of searching and shaking the biscuit box) was stretched along the wheel of my husbands van. She was well hidden under the wheel arch and had to slither out!

I had two guinea pigs as a child; Squeak and Tufty. They would put themselves to bed if I opened their run by running to their cage, jumping in and then I would shut them in for the night.

One morning I went to feed them and they were missing. This caused much wailing and tears from me. I was convinced they had been kidnapped.

My Dad went to open the garage door and out trotted the piggies. They'd found a place to sleep since their owner had obviously not opened their cage so they could get in.

Three minutes after we had said goodbye to a visiting friend he arrived back after hearing a cat mewing. Our cat had found a nice warm spot inside the engine compartment of his car! She might have lost one of her 9 lives but otherwise no harm done.

We have had some bonkers pets in our household.

I once accidentally left the lid off the hamster's cage when we went to bed. I woke up at about 1am to the sound of a spoon clattering against a bowl in the living room that, being the slummy hamster mummy I am, I had left on the floor before bed. I went through to the living room, and found tiny yoghurty hamster footprints leading away from the bowl and then disappearing. I went into a complete panic and ended up crawling around on my stomach looking for her.

My husband walked in to me lying flat on my stomach listening intently to the tiny rustling I could hear. I eventually located Miss Lily Hamster making a cosy new home for herself inside our Printer. She was a bit annoyed when we retrieved her from inside it and put her back in her own bed. Unfortunately no photo's of her in the printer, but there's one of her being bottle fed instead.

The cat also likes to sit in the curtains, in stealth mode. Or throw herself on the floor dramatically to make a point.

Oh and I forgot about the time we found the cat on our porch, unable to jump the distance either down to the ground or back up to the window she had leaped out of. We took a photo before we got a chair to get her down.

we carried our puppy around in a rucksac until he'd had his jabs - people were amazed when they saw his head popping out from the top!

Quite a seasonal one, my dad had a dog that was found under the dining room table... Having eaten the Christmas turkey. My childhood dog was founder under the table having eaten my carefully selected necklace for my gran (I was ten) another Christmas. And finally the new dog ate a whole box of seashell chocolates on Christmas day and was found, you guessed it, under the table.

funniest place i have found one of my cats is on top of our fridge freezer which is very high

EasterRobin · 12/12/2015 10:20

Our cat loves sleeping anywhere that smells of the baby and is permanently trying to sleep amongst the baby's laundry, in her bed, pram, playmats, etc. The most enterprising so far was sleeping in the seat of the jumperoo with one paw and her tail sticking out of a leg hole.

EasyToEatTiger · 12/12/2015 10:35

I arrived home one day to the sound of crashing about. One of our dogs had eaten her way into a child's lunchbox on a one way ticket. I don't remember exactly how I extracted her. Just that it was not entirely straightforward.

Catsgowoof · 12/12/2015 14:09

hanging from the bedroom window, on the outside

My mum's puppy, Maybe, loves the baby's bouncy chair. She thumps her tail to make it bounce and looks very annoyed when we take her out so we can put the baby in!

Mozzie - our black kitten likes to hide and sleep in the "whites" laundry basket of all places!

Naughty Cory likes to climb the Christmas tree. I once also put a warm crumble on the kitchen counter covered in a tea towel and she climbed into it and went to sleep!

I went to the bathroom and couldn't understand where the noise was coming from until I looked up. I still don't know how Mickey got up so high.
