From the award-winning Kes Gray and the winner of the Roald Dahl Funny Prize, Jim Field, comes an hilarious rhyming tale about a frog who discovers that all animals have their special places to sit!

Cats sit on mats, hares sit on chairs, mules sit on stools and gophers sit on sofas, but Frog does not want to sit on a log! Jam-packed with animals and silliness, this original rhyming story will have young children in fits of laughter.

'An absolute treat.' - Daily Mail

'Hilarious illustrations and rhymes which are easy to recite and join in. Everyone will love it.' - The Guardian

Our old cat used to like lying on top of the microwave, in the sink and could sometimes be found in the dolls' house. The cat we have now has had to be chased out of the tumble dryer and he also likes to lie at the top of the stairs and try to trip people up.

Elton decided to help me with the filing one day...or I can only assume that's why he ended up in my desk! I still have no idea how he managed to get there.

Not funny at the time but we had a very destructive Springer called Bracken, I got home from work one day and he had chewed the door off our tumble dryer, pulled the clothes out, poohed all over them then climbed inside the dryer to hide! Grrrrrr :)

When our little kitten got neutered and was wearing a plastic collar she refused to go on the sofa, she refused to go in her basket, instead she found a shoe box and for 3 days refused to sleep anywhere else

Once I lost my hamster crunchie for most of the day when I heard this strange noise coming from under the stairs. When I moved everything out I found my hamster had chewed through bags, was making himself a bed but before that had tried burrow out of the building *guess that was hard work hence the bed making) :)

My husband used to have a dog who for some reason loved to sleep in the bath, he had a lovely basket with blankets where he used to go to bed in the night, but by the morning most days he used to end up sleeping tin the bath.

Dottyhols · 30/12/2015 23:39

I could hear the dog crying upstairs, followed the noise to the washing basket. He'd some how managed to wrap his head around and through two of my bras. He was completely tangled. He did look a picture, but unfortunately I de tangled him before I got a chance to take a snap! He looked like he'd been to a underwear jumble sale!

My male dog Alf detests female dogs in every way. My hubby had to go to the Scottish highlands for work and Alf went with him to stay in a dog friendly b&b. Much to Alf disgust there was a beautiful female golden lab. She took a real shine to him trying her best to bring him round. He was having none of it growling and showing his teeth. After a while Alf disappeared nowhere to be found anywhere not even the lure of food or a walk could make him come out his hiding place. Where was he found hours later? He had opened the wardrobe with his paw and hid in there to get away from his admirer!

I went out one night to come back to my dog sprawled out like this! He gave me a guilty look as though 'oh you're home early' he just needed a beer and the TV remote and he would have been sorted for the night 😂

after posting on local FB site and streetlife trying to find our cat Tom who had been 'missing' for 2 days - she was sleeping under a duvet on the sofa and was only 'found' when one of the kids sat on her....

our new little kitten tinky 8 weeks old,is always disappearing ,we have to hunt high and low for her, one evening after turning the house upside down looking for her we found her sound asleep curled up in the guinea pig cage along side them she had pushed the side open and squeezed in,

PeanutHog · 31/12/2015 11:50

I found our wild hedgehog, Iris, asleep behind the shed on a hot Summer's day - the hedgehog house we built was obviously too hot for her!

We found 'Madam' squeezed into our lower bird table. It took some coaxing to get her out...I think she considered it somewhat of a 'drive-thru' takeaway opportunity. Luckily, birds are clever.. she had Felix for dinner that day :/

I don't have a photo of our deceased hamster, but one night when my hubby was on night shift i woke up to hear a rustling noise in the cupboard at the end of the bed. Scared I gingerly put the light on and prised the door open... only to find the hamster had managed to get out of his cage and run through the back room, the kitchen, climb the stairs and find his way to our bedroom and into the linen cupboard! Relieved that it wasn't a giant rat! Later my son piped up "I taught him how to climb the stairs!"

A good few years ago our cat Rama went missing, we combed the streets, put up posters etc. with no luck. On another wander round the locality late one evening we heard meows from some local council rented lock ups, on closer inspection we could hear Rama but the door was locked. It was late at night so we rang the local council emergency line who told us that the lock up was not in use & that we could force it open to rescue the cat. They said we should contact local police just in case we got accused of anything to say we had council permission. After call to local police and a quick trip back home to collect tools me and husband proceeded to force entry. Suddenly the sky above was lit up with the police helicopter who must have been intrigued following our phone call. Thus we were illuminated in the dark whilst breaking into the lock, I was 8 months pregnant at the time too. By the time we rescued our Rama half the estate was out......highly embarrassing!
Rama was a little skinny after being missing for 5 days but he recuperated well and went on to live to the grand age of 18.

Tinker by name, Tinker by nature.

Cats in hats? Gophers on sofas? Not for us!
We had Tinker, the wandering tortoise.
He'd come on the scrounge in the lounge,
Or dig a new bed under the shed.
Often lost, once he was found
Racing along the station platform - London bound!

As soon as the suitcase comes out my dog Buster gets a little stressed with anxiety issues at being left behind . A few years ago I was just away to lock the case for my 2 week in Florida when I saw movement underneath my clothes from a stowaway.I've become wise over the years but he never fails to bury some soft toy or ball as a momento of him to remind me to come home .

sparky61 · 31/12/2015 21:18

Many years ago when it was allowed to have newts as pets, mine disappeared from his tank that was on the kitchen worktop :-( We could only assume he had gone down the plughole of the sink :-( 3 days later I was at the sink and up he popped again :-) We kept the plug in after that
