Right, as mentioned in the staffroom, there is definitely something in the water!! Due to there being a few of us now, I thought we should have a thread to keep tabs on when everyone is due etc.

I'll put the info I know so far, come and add yourself/your details or even better, copy and paste this list and update accordingly

Crace - C-section booked for ??? May
Looneytune - EDD 23rd June (BOY)
eleanorsmum - EDD ????
MamaG - EDD ???

I know there are others but I just can't remember now (don't you just love the pregnancy brain!). Tori has her baby last night and I think another had theirs recently too but still thought there were more pregnant C/Ms????

Well Ladies, so far so good on the school runs although it's only been three days with my own dd at the mo. I've found that my little ds (now 4 weeks old) is quite happy to have a quick bf at eg 8am, even if he had a feed at eg 6am, and it's enough to keep him going till I get back from school. So am planning to do this when mindees return, and plan have military operation in force to get out of front door on time!

To be honest he sleeps a lot as new babies do so think it won't be so mad when mindees start back, and my own dd is quite happy when I say ds needs feeding, shall we watch tv/read a book - I find I can bf and hold&read a book at the same time!

And no-one said babies suffer if they're not fed immediately on starting to cry, my ds has had to wait a couple of times for a feed (only eg 10 mins) and he's fine!

Will let you know how it goes when I do go back to work in May.....

libbysmummy · 09/04/2008 13:20

Crace - Doh pregnant mush brain alert!!!! It's Yorky that is near me not you!!!! Sorry!!!!!

crace · 14/04/2008 10:34

help me... the next three weeks should be sweet hell.

looneytune · 14/04/2008 14:22

AskABusyPerson - sounds great Keep us posted on your progress!

crace - will be thinking of you on your 3 weeks of hell. What ages/hours etc. do you have? Maybe we could help keep things to a minimum for you? (like others suggested things to me).

Well, I'm 30 weeks today - sounds better than 20-29 weeks doesn't it!! . I'm feeling much better for it being the school holidays but not looking forward to all systems go next week - 8 weeks to go and I can put my feet up for a couple of weeks (as long as bubba isn't early!).

I had a moan about this in the staffroom last week but still can't believe what an idiot I am.....I thought I had taken 3 weeks off before bubba is due but I only took 2 weeks off Don't know why but this has really wound me up as I was looking forward to putting my feet up for as long as possible!! Oh well, moan over.

At least I'm done for the day. My tiny baby left 10 mins ago, other baby is on holiday and no after school mindee so just me and ds now. We're going to Mothercare soon to have a look at baby things, just because we can!

OP posts:
crace · 14/04/2008 14:53

I only have 2 mindees - one early in, mid day out and one that is all day 5 days per week. I have them for the next 3 weeks and no cutting down/early as am in the same position LT, parents all counting on me.

Think it's going to be safe/happy/fed from here on out.

I have no idea what is wrong with me but my hips HURT and my tailbone is killing me - so now am hobbling around. Sitting hurts/standing is agony. Whimper whimper

And good lord.. the heartburn. Almost was sick with it a while ago. My own dd got very frustrated with me over the weekend, but we just couldn't do anything. DH has been away and not back until Wednesday and I really need him around on the weekends from here to the end to help out with dd.

Ouch

looneytune · 14/04/2008 15:35

Changed my mind about Mothercare, going to go into town tomorrow (just tiny baby again so finish at 2pm ) instead as by the time I'd eaten, it didn't leave much shopping time before ds has the dentist.

I agree with the just making sure they have those important needs met and not to worry too much about groups etc. How old are they?

Sorry about the pains Can totally sympathise there. Could it be SPD?

As for the heartburn, funny you should say that as I nearly threw up yesterday with it as I bent over. It had got better and then started this week and is constantly there, it's stopping me from eating much as it's there before I even eat. Are you taking anything for it? It's really the pits isn't it!!

OP posts:
looneytune · 14/04/2008 15:36

meant started LAST week! doh!

OP posts:
crace · 14/04/2008 18:03

No idea LT - I really hope not, what does SPD feel like?

I took a paracet. and that's helped a lot and the gaviscon (nasty stuff!) helped a bit on the heartburn. I just feel like a train wreck!

crace · 14/04/2008 18:03

Oh by the way= keep posting AskAbusyperson- nice to hear how you are getting on! We will be in your shoes not too much longer!

crace · 14/04/2008 18:04

Sorry, mindees are just one and just 2 - and 28mth old dd. Got my hands full!

looneytune · 16/04/2008 09:45

Hi crace, sorry I didn't come back, not around as much (depends on how I'm feeling).

SPD feels quite a bit like you've described. I had it in my groin first (this time round and it moved to the front of my pelvis and pains in my back etc. like you described. Mine wasn't just normal SPD in the end this time round, it was really bad due to my pelvis being VERY wonky and out of place, turned out must have been from my fall off the chair at 12 weeks. Anyway, Oestopath fixed that (love that woman!!)

Hope you are muddling through ok. Just 2 and half weeks to go

I had a very very vivid strange dream last night that I went into premature labour (I'm still only 31 weeks) last night and had to text parents to say my baby had arrived and was in SCBU so I couldn't work today and hoped they understood . Freaked me out!!! Think it must be because dh and I were talking last night about 'what if I need a c-section due to being breach'. I hear they like to do these at around 38-39 weeks but I don't finish til 38 weeks so would leave me with NO time off!!! lol. Was so relieved to wake up to ds wriggling inside me still, safe and sound

OP posts:
crace · 16/04/2008 14:04

Interesting LT, it almost feels like I can't close my legs and the lower pelvis is bruised/pains me. Make sense? Maybe it is SPD but just a mild case. Either way, only 5 weeks on Friday. Ack!

looneytune · 16/04/2008 15:09

crace - sounds like it and it gets worse the further on you are due to the weight of the baby being so near your pelvis. Search the pregnancy section about SPD, you'll see there is all sorts of advice and it's worth trying these things

Can't stay but just wanted to say that.

Arrrrggghhhhhhhhhhhh!! I hate waiting for anything!!

I'm trying not to stress or think about it too much this month, but only 2 days before AF due and it's going sooooooo slowly!! I'm not testing straight away after being burned last time, but I know me and patience isn't something I do well

Fingers crossed girls!

crace · 16/04/2008 22:14

SB - got everything crossed for you..

looneytune · 17/04/2008 09:53

Yeah, everything crossed for you x

Anyone else had period type dull ache/lower backache in the 3rd trimestar? I've had this all week and did wonder why but thought I'd just wait til I see the Dr next Friday and mention it then. I had it before going into labour with ds but of course I'm only 30 weeks so can't be that.

Any thoughts?

MaureenMLove · 17/04/2008 17:08

Just checking you're all OK! Looney & Crace, sounds like you both need to take it easy. Fngers crossed for you SB. Resist the temptation to test this time!

crace · 17/04/2008 18:16

LT - Yup, had them all the way through this final trimester. nightmare, and it's painful! I keep thinking baby is coming before it's evicted. So much that I am packing our bags this weekend. I am only 34 weeks tomorrow but I just have that "feeling" - not cool as it's only coming out through sun roof and you never know I could be wrong!

Disclaimer though LT anything suspect you get your overworked behind to A&E ok?

As updated on the Staffroom, Jobcentre confirmed I am all set for the measly amount of £117.18 (what a ridiculous figure) per week. Just have to send a form back when I finish - so I will have to get used to being paid in arrears!

crace · 17/04/2008 18:17

{waves} to Mo.

SB - I still would be testing, myself. But I am HOPELESS at waiting for anything!

ellideb · 17/04/2008 18:30

Hello everyone! I'm 18.4 weeks pregnant with my 1st and registered as a Childminder with the CSSIW (Wales) in february. I mind a 7mth old, a 4yr old and a 5yr old. I'll be taking 6 mths maternity leave from August. Due in september. Looking forward to getting to know you all a bit better!

libbysmummy · 17/04/2008 19:10

Crace How long did your maternity allowance application take to go through?
I took mine into the jobcentre this week and just wondering how long I should wait until I chase (cos no doubt I will have to!)

Also, I am suffering from SPD this time around too. I have a physio appointment tomorrow morning so am hoping for some good advice.

One thing I've done which has helped, is lay a sleeping bag on top of my sheet to sleep on. Because of the silky material,it has made turning over at night much easier. It might be worth a try - mine is much worse in the evening.
The midwife suggested satin sheets but DH was worried he'd slip out of bed as he has "no room at all these days and has to sleep right on the edge". Poor him

I'm also having regular reflexology - I'm lucky enough to have a friend who is qualified, and that is also helping...

Will let you know what the physio suggests

crace · 17/04/2008 19:34

Hi and welcome elliedeb! Come over to the Staff Room too!

LM -thanks, be interested to see what physio says. At moment, living on paracetamol and fear for my liver!

It took 7 weeks all in all, and that's with me harassing after 4 weeks. So I reckon chase after 4 weeks to see what their processing time is. I am just thrilled to have it done.

ellideb · 17/04/2008 20:04

Will do crace, thanx

southernbelle77 · 18/04/2008 07:04

Me too Crace! But don't tell Mo, she'll tell me off

It's taking every ounce of energy not to go out and buy one! So far so good but well, that's all I'm saying
