2 days after getting this letter I got a note on the journal to say about backpayment how much and when

My son has not been awarded. Does anyone know how mandatory reconsideration works and what is the success rate. Also how long do these take. Any advice is appreciated

Scan date is the 17th August and I just rang up to be told its with a dm

I’m sorry to hear that @Shellbel10 . Definitely do a MR as I hear a lot of success stories with them.
Can I please ask how old your son is, and what evidence did you provide? X

@Shellbel10 oh no! I’m sorry to hear that :( gather any extra evidence you can now, start a diary of your days, then when you get the letter saying you’ve been refused and why it should tell you how to do mr and I think they take 4 weeks for a descision x

I’m really frustrated.
sent my first copy of the forms on 13/10 - nothing- no confirmation of scan and rang up to be told to just wait.
sent a second copy on 10/11 special delivery, can see it was signed for but still nothing, no confirmation it’s been scanned.

im really annoyed as DS is 3 in March and at this rate, by the time they’ve actually acknowledged his claim and done anything about it I’ll have to reapply to get the mobility aspect anyway. Might as well have not bothered. It took so much time and energy putting his claim together and feels totally pointless

Our scan date is 27th september, I feel like it’s going to take ages until they will deal with september claims.

Scan date 11th of August. I called DLA is this morning and spoke with a very kind and helpful gentlemen. I was received a text two hours later and a courtesy call from a lovely DM who confirmed HR care and LR mobility.

It has been a very long wait but I am ever so grateful. Good luck to all who are still awaiting a decision. Please do not give up.

@LucasMummy88 I sent in copy of ieps and prescription for sleep medicine. We’ve been waiting for referral for occupational therapist from school for 18 months and finally was referred last week but still waiting for the appointment

Has any one ever been asked if they claim carers allowance as a security question when ringing DLA?

I haven’t been asked that before, usually just reference #, NI number and few questions about the form x

Yes. It is apart of their security questioning.
