@LucasMummy88 Yeah I think it’s going to be nearer Xmas for a decision. I have a bad feeling and I hope I am wrong. Is your child Lucas or Luca? Just looking at your name. Mines is Luca x

LucasMummy88 · 19/11/2022 19:41

His name is Luca as well @Lozzaaaaa :)
I don’t think that I will be awarded, he’s only 2.5 & I’ve heard that it’s extremely difficult to get awarded for under 5’s. I’ve included quite a bit of evidence but probably not enough. Fingers crossed though. Praying for good news for you x

Lozzaaaaa · 19/11/2022 19:48

@LucasMummy88 Ah I did this it might be with the name, I haven’t met another Luca Mummy before. I honestly feel like it’s pot luck and who you get looking at your case going by these feeds! Praying for you to lovely x fingers crossed!!

Claire288 · 19/11/2022 20:02

@Lozzaaaaa 13th I originally sent the first form off on the 3rd August, but it got lost so had to get a new one and fill it all out again. X

Lozzaaaaa · 19/11/2022 20:12

@Claire288 Oh that’s awful! Feels like you’re waiting even longer! X

parsniiips · 20/11/2022 06:34

Is anyone else still waiting for a decision from a scan date in July for a change of circumstances?

Feeling really stressed about money and not being able to work 😥

I've noticed from this thread some people have received decisions from later scan dates so I'm wondering what on earth is going on?! Every time I phone up they extend the waiting time for a decision further than the last time I phoned and say it's bit yet assigned to a decision maker.

MissEllie2 · 20/11/2022 07:36

I’m sure I read somewhere that they were working on June for COC unless I’ve misread. It’s such a long wait especially for that. 20+ weeks xxx

NooriesMum · 20/11/2022 08:04

Hi, I just want to let you know my daughter was diagnosed with ASD by 2yrs and had DLA by 2.5yrs. Also had statement setup by 3 yrs, just in time for starting nursery. They ask possible renewal/reassess at age 5 as they dont assess mobility under 5. She is 7 yrs now. Hope you get good news soon x

dandymum · 20/11/2022 09:09

@parsniiips they’re taking 20+ weeks for coc atm, 14 weeks for new claims and renewals they’ve been doing day before they run out.

@LucasMummy88 ive just been awarded for my daughter who turned 2 in November, we applied when was 18 months so don’t lose hope 🙏

MissEllie2 · 20/11/2022 19:54

Fingers crossed this week ahead we get lots of awards!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 will be checking back every day after work!

Meli3 · 20/11/2022 20:27

MissEllie2 · 20/11/2022 20:38

sarahxdx · 20/11/2022 21:03

Has anyone got any positive MR stories please?

Eleanor55 · 20/11/2022 21:25

Scan date 24th August for my sons claim
Scan date 23rd August for my daughters. Son ASD dyspraxia hyper mobility and daughter ASD traits (no assessment yet) severe dyslexia.
Been watching these threads for a few weeks really hoping for this week a decision either way.
I claimed previously for my son several years ago and got HRC and HRM then renewal MRC and LRM then didn’t renew when it expired which 3 years ago ! as it was so stressful doing the forms I just couldn’t bring myself to do it all again until over summer when I thought my kids would really benefit from it.
Took me a while to do the two forms. It’s such a stressful process and I think it puts a lot of people off doing it even though it’s money for the children for extra items they need
I’ve never looked if I could get UC either I work so I just thought I wouldn’t get it

xxAmy · 20/11/2022 23:04

@Eleanor55
What evidence have you sent off?
my youngest gets HRC & LRM, I’m about to claim for my eldest lad but as of now I only have his IEP & letter to say he’s got ALN, for my youngest we have a ton of evidence we send off so I’m unsure if it’s worth the stress of doing it for him 😭

Eleanor55 · 20/11/2022 23:50

For both EHC plan and gave details of doctor school and paediatrician
I did give a very detailed account of difficulties day to day week to week
i’m hoping it’s enough
I’ve always sent the same every time with my son - I’m unsure why he went from HRC to MRC last time but I really do think it’s who you get looking at your application

Kay96 · 20/11/2022 23:53

What day does the money usually go in I think my scan date was 17th August rang last week on Tuesday and the man said it would be with a dm by Friday and I should hopefully have a decision by this Friday

Eleanor55 · 20/11/2022 23:56

I also missed the deadline for the forms to be returned to backdate to the phone call but I did include exceptional circumstances why they were late - my house had covid and I was quite unwell with it - so I will update also if that was successful in case it helps anyone else who misses the deadline - I’ve nothing to lose I thought by explaining why there was delay

Eleanor55 · 20/11/2022 23:58

I think the day varies as depends what day of the week your application is approved/successful and that’s the day you receive funds then every 4 weeks after

Sammi85 · 21/11/2022 06:55

Do they pay you quite quickly? my son was accepted last Wednesday and they said they issued the payment the same day but still haven't recieved anything?

We never applied before (we didn’t know the correct details about it), but I agree with you: The forms are incredibly stressful. I also sent ours late. I found them so draining! My children are my joy… the light of my life…. But for the weeks I was filling the form, I was constantly hyperaware of the difficulties we face every day… quite depressing… there was no away I could just sit and gather evidence complete all quickly. And now we wait!

good luck for today news everyone!

Shellbel10 · 21/11/2022 07:04

Good luck all today. Scan date 16th still not heard anything

Kirsty111 · 21/11/2022 07:14

MissEllie2 · 21/11/2022 07:31

Meli3 · 21/11/2022 07:40

Good luck all I'm going to try and put this to the back of my mind, it's my daughter's birthday tomorrow so going to enjoy the build up to that. She is very excited. Hope I hear something then as she totally deserves this 🥺 x
