@MissEllie2 thank you, found it weird and a bit personal. X

Helen122 · 21/11/2022 14:44

Hello,

Has anyone been awarded without sending any documents or evidence for the renewal?

MissEllie2 · 21/11/2022 14:45

@Meli3 oh my goodnesssss!!! The most amazing news and just in time for your daughters birthday 🥰🥰🥰

Navigatormum · 21/11/2022 14:46

@ChantelleB It threw me out as well when he asked me that question but a friend reassured and said it’s part of their security questions. When I called this morning it was not assessed. I was upfront and expressed the long wait since the 11th August. My DM was away last week also.
The call handler was honest and said it had previously been held up for pending verifications etc. I was awarded a few hours later, text and call from DM.

Ask the call handler if their is anything holding up the application or for any updates they can see on their end.

No answer is not always bad news honestly. It is so emotionally taxing waiting when you desperately need the support for your child. Everything 🤞🏽 for all still waiting on a decision ❤️💜❤️💜

Meli3 · 21/11/2022 14:50

SingleMommaBoss · 21/11/2022 15:52

Meli3 · 21/11/2022 16:12

Thankyou to all of you, really wish you all the best xx

kelllybartsboo · 21/11/2022 16:14

@Kay96 what evidence did you send? i feel like mine will also not be successful as she’s only just been diagnosed at 14, adhd and asd. i sent both diagnosis reports and pupil passport from school

MissEllie2 · 21/11/2022 16:18

@Kay96 I’m really sorry to hear that, make sure you do a MR xxx

Shellbel10 · 21/11/2022 16:33

@Kay96 i found out my sons was unsuccessful also today. I will do mandatory reconsideration but not received letter yet

Poniesandproseccobubbles · 21/11/2022 16:46

Hi all. Been lurking for some weeks and reading all posts. Congrats to all who have been awarded and I’m sorry to hear those who haven’t. Keep up the fight! My scan date is 19th august. My 11 year old daughter has ADHD referral from GP to CAHMS, and other than that all I had was a witness statement (which was extremely detailed) and the forms I sent in, in which I also went into a lot of detail. But looking at this I’m not overly hopeful. I called them Friday and they said it wasn’t with a DM yet but haven’t been able to call today as I’m working until 10pm tonight. Anyway, good luck to all those still waiting and I’ll keep my fingers crossed for a miracle! My daughter has been a nightmare (bless her little heart) since a toddler but I’ve managed to cope. But now she’s older, it’s so much more noticeable and she acts so much younger than an 11 year old, and is constantly in trouble with everyone around her for being destructive, rude, swearing (I never swear in front of her) etc etc. When told off for swearing she is always suprised as she has no idea that she’s done it 🤷🏻‍♀️She can’t wash herself or clean her own teeth and will still run out into roads with no warning so has to be restrained.. I’ve just coped with it for years but seems to be getting worse and am at wits end. She also hardly sleeps. GP says she’s sure it’s ADHD and has referred but refrral times is months, but GP said apply for DLA 🤷🏻‍♀️ here’s hoping as it would help cover the cost of all the things she destroys at least!

Meli3 · 21/11/2022 16:56

Really sorry to hear you was unsuccessful please do a MR I will keep my fingers crossed for you all xx

Kirsty111 · 21/11/2022 17:00

@Poniesandproseccobubbles OMG your daughter sounds like a girl version of my son his exactly the same but also suffers with Anxiety and learning difficulties, I agree with the bit about the older they get the harder it is I’ve only just made a claim scan date 22nd Aug so hopefully should hear something g back soon

Mumofminimes · 21/11/2022 17:05

Hi All, long time lurker here. Called before they closed today and my DS has been awarded HRC & LRM. Scan date 24th August. Apparently decision was made on 19th Nov and letter was sent out. This thread kept me going so thankyou and good luck to you all still waiting x

Meli3 · 21/11/2022 17:27

@Mumofminimes exactly same award and decision on the same day as yours. So pleased for you xx

Mumofminimes · 21/11/2022 17:48

Thankyou @Meli3 i really didn’t think I was going to get it: no diagnosis. No senco statement (school is rubbish) just his initial paediatrics report saying he needs to be assessed for ADHD and ASD. I am also surprised decision was made on 19th Nov. No text or anything so glad I called today, first time calling is been trying to put it off incase it was bad news. So glad our little ones have got what they deserve x

SingleMommaBoss · 21/11/2022 17:54

Congratulations for those who were able to awarded.
Good luck for who is going to go for a MR. I really hope you are successful.

I called just before they close to see if new evidence I sent was scanned…. It was not…. She was lovely and put a notes on the claim. Once is with DM they will be able to see and call me for details.

My forms were scanned on the 26th. I’m just so nervous now… hopefully not long now.

MissEllie2 · 21/11/2022 18:01

Tomorrow is a new day. Fingers crossed the ones without answers get some and hopefully all positive outcomes!!!

Shellbel10 · 21/11/2022 18:18

Has anyone on here done a mandatory reconsideration. I feel deflated with it all

Meli3 · 21/11/2022 18:29

@Mumofminimes I was surprised too because I didn't receive any text I just felt something in my gut to call. I did send lots of evidence and wrote lots on the forms. I am so pleased a relived. Have to do it all again for my son also xx
