Can someone tell me if you get awarded mrc does that mean you can apply for carers allowance and if so how do you do this

I knew I didn’t want to call! Just spent about 55 minutes on hold, spoke to a really nice and friendly man, but my sons form hasn’t even been allocated to anyone as yet! Scan date 16th September. He said it should be looked at this week….think I’ll just wait to hear from them now, calling is stressful 🙈 a long wait on hold to be told no update after almost 12.5 weeks is painful

How long have people payments taken once been awarded ?

I had this text on the Tuesday morning, and I got my first large payment (all the back pay) that Friday, so just 3 days later x

I was told last Wednesday but was around 3pm and haven't recieved mine yet x

Scan date the 12 sep. No text or letter. Just a pending back payment for tomorrow in the bank. I think my son has been awarded MRC no mobility. But I'm not sure. I did send off further evidence of his Blue badge dont even think its been scanned!. But he's only 4 so don't think we would get that anyway. Just glad its over. Good luck to you all.!

Been watching this thread for a while now and as I’ve noticed it’s getting closer to my date. so was wondering if anybody else from the 21st sept scan date had heard anything? Also good luck to everyone waiting it’s a long stretch of added stress which none of us need

@Mam2mcc mine is 23rd sep rang today lady seid wont be sent to case manager untill after 12 weeks but she did say it shouldn't be two long now

Hi guys,
so I’ve woken up this morning, checked my bank and I’ve been awarded! Quite a bit of backpay. I’ve worked it out as MRC. It looks like I’ve been given more than that not enough that I would have been given mobility if that makes sense. Could just be me and my maths though haha. My date was 14th sept and I’ve seen a few be awarded for those dates now. Hang in there guys. Slowly but surely looks like they’re getting there. Fingers crossed for everyone waiting today. I hope you all get the outcome you’re after for your little ones xx

i’m curious, how long did everyone wait for an acknowledgement notification? I sent my forms back in October and haven’t had any response at all.

Morning. Long time lurker but so people can try and keep up with dates, my scan date was 12th Sept and I’ve received a payment in my bank today. No text and no letter.

Congratulations! Can I ask what evidence you sent In? I have dla for my eldest daughter and awaiting response for my youngest but feel that maybe they are not awarding as highly as they used to as my daughter has hrc with little evidence sent 🤷

Had anyone been awarded yet from the 19th-26th September yet? Or had it back quicker than 12 weeks?

I sent in the paeds report, portage letter and letter from sleep consultant. I’ve got her diagnosis letter and a dietician report ready for if we needed to do a MR but we received the letter today and have been awarded HRC so no need.

I sent autism assessment/ diagnosis and sensory processing disorder assessment/diagnosis. The OT filled out the part on the form about anyone else who knows your child. I sent no evidence from school as they’re useless, as is the SENCO and we don’t have an EHCP or anything. I was worried that they’d call school because school thought I was crazy until we got the diagnosis.

I phoned this morning took 40mins on hold but my daughter got awarded MRC and LRM until 2026. I was expecting a 2024 renewal but happy I don’t have to go through this again until 2026!
