Have just had a call from DLA, very nice lady and she asked a few questions checked my bank details and said payment would be made by the end of the week. She said she hasn’t reached a rate decision but to call tomorrow and they would be able to tell me.

Scan date 6/9 and has been back dated to July 🙂

parsniiips · 06/12/2022 14:43

Just spent 50 minutes on hold waiting for my call to be answered for an update on change of circumstances.

My scan date was in July.

They are currently working on June dates.

He said not to expect a decision before January.

Absolutely diabolical and disgraceful.

Mumof2Asd1 · 06/12/2022 15:01

Hi all,

My sons scan date is 5th October so likely to be another few weeks before we hear anything 😕 does anyone know if the DLA offices/staff close for the Christmas break?

Toobusy3 · 06/12/2022 15:12

@parsniiips are you already getting it or changing the circumstances?

Scan date July without any information is ridiculous!

Hi does any1 know how long carers allowance takes and if they back date from the date off award? Also universal credit with the back payment off child disabled element how long this take? Thank you. X

Mines been with a DM since 23rd November awaiting decision on back pay of UC and Carer’s element. Called them today and they said still no news 😩

SRog · 06/12/2022 15:42

Scan date 5th Sept. Been awarded LRM and MRC today for my 10yo daughter undiagnosed autism. Thank goodness the wait is over. Backdated to July

Amymoody · 06/12/2022 15:43

@dandymum @Gemma96x
sorry i keep randomly commenting but I keep checking this post. My claim with UC was with the decision maker from the 21st November for me requesting back payment for the disabled child element and I received a decision today. I was told there were no time frame, then was told they had until the 16th December to make a decision. I’m yet to have the payment processed. But I thought that you should have heard something by now Gemma as you submitted yours a week or two before I did xx

Lozzaaaaa · 06/12/2022 15:45

@SRog Congratulations! What evidence did you send? X

Gemz8 · 06/12/2022 15:53

@SRog brilliant news x

Shellbel10 · 06/12/2022 15:53

Am going to send it off this week @dandymum

SRog · 06/12/2022 16:02

I sent in the paperwork relating to her being on the pathway for an assessment, sleep clinic paperwork and continence clinic paperwork. I was so worried as I didn’t fill in any extra pages than what was provided and noticed most people did.

Mummytogirls87 · 06/12/2022 16:26

UC sounds like a right nightmare I’m still on old style tax credits it was all sorted the same day I phoned with back payment to go in my account tomorrow I’m dreading having to go on UC xx

Wintersmummy96 · 06/12/2022 18:33

Scan date 26th September
ive sent in SEN plan, letter from child development practitioner , I wrote her day out, her letter from the hospital and told them she’s under a sleep therapist, speech therapist and been referred for ASDAT
do you think this will be enough but she will only be 4 next week so if I did get awarded would I have to reapply next year?

Lozzaaaaa · 06/12/2022 19:47

Anyone idea what dates they are working on now?

Lozzaaaaa · 06/12/2022 19:49

I mean, Does anyone have any idea lol

parsniiips · 06/12/2022 19:54

Toobusy3 · 06/12/2022 15:12

@parsniiips are you already getting it or changing the circumstances?

Scan date July without any information is ridiculous!

Already get DLA but change of circumstance means my son will be entitled to a higher rate care plus mobility and I'm currently unable to work due to this and need all the financial support I can get 😥

Claire288 · 06/12/2022 20:18

@Lozzaaaaa I was wondering this too. X

LucasMummy88 · 06/12/2022 20:38

@Lozzaaaaa it sounds like they’re doing wc 5th September this week, although I thought that this was meant to be last week. At this point, I can’t keep up with it all. I was hoping to hear something this week but I’m thinking that’s very unlikely now x

Lozzaaaaa · 06/12/2022 20:41

@LucasMummy88 I’m the same, defo struggling to keep up! I thought this week too but I’m now thinking next week or possibly even the week after. Finding being patient really difficult now lol x

Gemz8 · 06/12/2022 20:42

I’ve not phoned yet. I think people are being told different dates when they phone so we’re all confused haha x

Adventure2022 · 06/12/2022 20:48

Scan date 7th sept and received text today that my child qualifies. Just to give you an idea of what dates they are working on

Lozzaaaaa · 06/12/2022 20:52

@Adventure2022 Thank you! And congratulations 😊 x

And did you get it all backdated? And the Carer’s element? I guess it’s good to know that you’ve got it but also frustrating that they can’t tell you when! X
