@Toobusy3 I heard that some can text and some can’t. Fingers crossed you hear soon!

Gemz8 · 05/12/2022 14:33

@Losttheplot1 completely understand where you’re coming from. My son is on a reduced timetable in school due to his behaviour and them being at crisis point with him. I’ve let UC know that I’ve had to reduce my hours drastically as I struggle with childcare. I’ve told them I won’t meet the threshold in January so am expecting they’ll want me to go in and review my work commitments. It’s added stress when the situation is stressful enough isn’t it. Really is something you can do without xx

Toobusy3 · 05/12/2022 14:54

Just come off the phone in tears been awarded HRC until 2025, he's not 3 yet so no mobility.

No diagnosis(suspected autism, goes to speech therapy, has portage etc), has a heart condition. What a huge relief.

Lozzaaaaa · 05/12/2022 14:57

@Toobusy3 Congratulations! Such good news. I’m so glad you called them. Xx

Losttheplot1 · 05/12/2022 14:57

@Gemz8 really is a diabolical situation, it appears everything hangs in the balance of the dla decision. Honestly UC make me feel that I just woke up one morning and decided not to work anymore. Like any of us would choose to be in this situation. I was summoned to the job center on Thursday and told I need to be in the extensive work search group. So twice weekly interviews to tell they why I can't work. They have all the document that DLA have to prove I'm not lying about the situation but literally nothing apart from the official dla letter will keep them off my back.

Losttheplot1 · 05/12/2022 15:01

Not sure how your expected to work 35 hours when my son only attends school 5 hours a week. 🤯

Mummyof2girlys · 05/12/2022 15:20

Found out today my little girl has been awarded LRC. Iv done an MR as she is severely autistic with no understanding/communication & behavioural issues on top, wakes a lot through the night as well as bad asthma attacks on top needing hospital admissions. I don’t at all agree with the low care, I sent 11 letters of evidence. We have lots of various 3rd party’s involved such a health visitors, portage early years, peadiatric doctor (due brain scans & assessments in a matter of months) respiratory peadiatric involved too.
saying MR will take 2 weeks im just praying somebody looks at it all better than the first DM. Sorry just wanted a little moan. Yes I am greatful she got awarded as many children are not but I do know she is eligable for a higher amount due to her high care needs.
fingers crossed now I will fight this for my beautiful girl she deserves so much more and I really need to be her full time career.

BlueBellIris · 05/12/2022 17:02

I sorry to hear that @Mummyof2girlys. How old is your daughter? I ask because I know others who have encountered problems when their children are young (under 5), because the DM says their needs aren't higher/unusual compared to a child of their age.

Gemz8 · 05/12/2022 17:11

@Losttheplot1 hopefully you hear back soon from DLA. You can’t be expected to work if your son is in school for an hour a day that’s ridiculous. Hopefully it’s sorted soon x

MummaOfUniqBoy · 06/12/2022 08:14

My scan date was July 12th and I still have not heard a thing. I ring every single week and just keep being told another 4 weeks or more. Last week they said its taking 21.5 weeks to just get to a decision maker....then 2 weeks after that. Just ridiculous. My sons dla is being looked at again to now include the mobility part since he has turned 3. So sick of the waiting!!!!!

LucasMummy88 · 06/12/2022 09:32

Does anyone know what dates they are working on this week?

LucasMummy88 · 06/12/2022 10:25

Does anyone else constantly get cut off whilst waiting for someone to answer, it’s so frustrating 😡

Shellbel10 · 06/12/2022 10:40

@Kay96 did you do a mr or anyone else for that matter

SRog · 06/12/2022 10:45

Called again this morning to be told its gone decision makers can take up to 2-3 weeks, big old jump for the couple of days the woman told me yesterday and the guy I spoke to Friday said it would like be done by mid this week haha ffs imma just keep calling them every day, I have no idea what’s going on. Scan date 5 Sept

Smyth19 · 06/12/2022 10:49

Does anyone know what scan dates were on today please xx

Tribaladventuremummy · 06/12/2022 10:50

I was told Monday on Friday and called again to be told 7-10 days, it’s so frustrating. Scan date 6th September

Gemma96x · 06/12/2022 10:59

Uc told me there’s no date on when there’ll be an answer so won’t give a time frame, someone else on this thread I’m sure said it took them a week to get it backdated.

dandymum · 06/12/2022 11:43

@Shellbel10 have you sent your MR? X

Shellbel10 · 06/12/2022 11:45

No not yet

Mummytolucia · 06/12/2022 11:59

I've stopped calling cos they make my anxiety bad with the different things they say from one day to next. 20th scan date so hoping it before Xmas a decision as we are week 11 now just hope my daughter gets what she deserves as we have had a terrible few years with her :(

MummyKas2 · 06/12/2022 12:02

My scan date was the 7th September, just had a call from DLA to confirm my address as we’ve moved since we sent off the claim. He said my daughter had been awarded and should receive back payment in the next few days.

Mollycox · 06/12/2022 12:14

Hi
just got off the phone to them scan date 14th September they said should be this week x

LanB · 06/12/2022 12:20

Hi,
I've been reading this posts for the last month or so without making any contribution so thought I'd break my silence today.
My daughters renewal was scanned 27th September, due to run out on 14th December. I received confirmation of her award nearly 2 weeks ago which I was surprised about as had read that they weren't looking at renewals until a week before it was due to end.
My son's first claim was scanned 14th September, we are still waiting to hear about this. I haven't called and won't call unless it gets to 15 weeks as it really doesn't make it any quicker and creates massive call wait times for those that need to call for things like MR or to check additional info has been received. And the info they give in regards to wait times is all just generic and not specific to each DM. One may be off sick, one may be on holiday, some may do overtime. So it's all just guess work really.
We'll all get there, the wait is frustrating but we are all in the same boat.
I feel like it's a waiting game in every area of life at the moment! Doctors appointments, even my son's passport took over 3 months to be processed and it was only a renewal.
Best wishes everyone, hope you all get some news soon.

dandymum · 06/12/2022 13:14

@Shellbel10 please look into doing it asap, it’s meant to be done within 1 month of a descision, if you don’t want to write to them ring them up and tell them you want a mandetory reconsideration. There is a form on gov website you can use to write to them also x
