Does anyone no if when you phone tax credits and the disability element is added on and backdated do you receive a lump sum like with DLA or do they pay it over increasing your payments x

I’m getting a lump sum next Wednesday xx

Tribaladventuremummy · 03/12/2022 21:29

Did you not write in your journal too to say it’s been awarded and needed to be back dated to that date?

Salll3 · 03/12/2022 21:33

I spoke to someone in the phone they said it would be backdated but I’m not sure how it works lump sum or it’s spread out over payments x

dandymum · 03/12/2022 23:58

I asked for it to be backdated to the date of dla as soon as I updated my uc but they ignored that on my journal for a week. I had to ask 3 times before they sent it to dm

Wow thank you! That’s so quick! Glad you got it sorted. I hope UC hurry up as would be good to have sorted before Xmas. It’s been 2 weeks but still nothing from UC - they just keep saying it’s with a DM! I’ll chase them up again this week I think xx

Mollycox · 05/12/2022 04:11

Hi

Gemz8 · 05/12/2022 06:16

@Mollycox mine is 14th September too. Hopefully not too long now x

Lozzaaaaa · 05/12/2022 07:53

@Mollycox Hey, I’m 17th. I think it will be next week but hopefully sooner!

MimiBeee · 05/12/2022 08:44

I'm 30th sept and when I called they said around 20th-27th Dec I should know .

LucasMummy88 · 05/12/2022 09:15

Does anyone know what dates they are working on this week? I’m the 15th September, hoping to hear something soon x

Fah66 · 05/12/2022 09:15

Anyone else trying to get through to them on phones but cant

SRog · 05/12/2022 09:22

I’m on hold now, first time I called it just cut out. I probably should have left calling until tomorrow or Wednesday haha but I’m curious how it’s progressing

Claire288 · 05/12/2022 09:22

My scan date is 13th September, I've just got off the phone to them. The lady said new claims are taking upto 15 weeks to reach a desicion and mine is in a holding queue. She said I'd have another 2-3 weeks of waiting. The call handlers tell everyone different thing as last week I was told new claims was taking12 weeks. Good luck to everyone waiting on a desicion.

Mummytolucia · 05/12/2022 09:30

At this point it's ridiculous the lies they tell I was told 12 weeks claims are taking. Its driving me mad seeing people with October dates being awarded but there's people with August dates still no decison. We are the 20th september God knows when we will find out but I'm not calling again cos it frustrating

Claire288 · 05/12/2022 09:33

@Mummytolucia I know how you feel. It's like they make dates up each time someone calls. My wait feels even longer as they lost my first form in August. The whole process is frustrating. X

rachyd83 · 05/12/2022 09:40

I have rang this morning. Scan date 4th October. Was told 12 weeks. I've been reading the posts on here for a few weeks. I think it depends which office your form lands in and how far behind they are. I've seen a few with the same date as mine being told 15 weeks but have seen some already had their decision

Lozzaaaaa · 05/12/2022 10:27

I think it’s really difficult to know because it just seems like everyone is different! Good luck today though everyone x

Wintersmummy96 · 05/12/2022 13:00

Scan date 26th September got threw to Blackpool office she said 12 weeks for new claims what they’ve been told this week

Toobusy3 · 05/12/2022 13:37

My scan date was the 2nd Sep claim, I spoke to someone on the 1st Decemeber saying its with the decision maker, so hopefully hear. Its such a long wait.

Lozzaaaaa · 05/12/2022 14:06

@Toobusy3 Have you called them today?

Losttheplot1 · 05/12/2022 14:10

My scan date is the 27th September, I called last week and was told 13 weeks, and as I'm only 9 weeks in to expect another 4 week delay. However I've seen a couple of posts in FB that have been awarded with scan date being the 12th. I knew it was going to be a long slog but UC are hounding me and pushing and threatening me with sanctions as I can't work with my son and his needs. I've gone from being in fulltime Employment to having to quit my job as school are only providing son with 1 hr a day does to being unable to keep him safe.
Honestly the pressure is just too much

Toobusy3 · 05/12/2022 14:24

@Lozzaaaaa no I am going to wait until Friday. I did ask for a text for the outcome. She said I can ring back for rates etc.
