@Amymoody I reported the same date as you also this is what I said take it straight off us if other way round. She also told me the same as you xx

Sevenwolf · 30/11/2022 05:38

mine went to the dm the same day I reported the changes and the next day I got the two letters in my journal confirming the backpay date and then 6 days from this date I got the letter confirming amount and payment date. When you send messages send in your journal send them to the payments department and work coach. Keeping my fingers crossed you hear back this week!!

Boysmama32 · 30/11/2022 07:22

I decided to check my bank mobile app this morning and found out that my son has been awarded finally and from my calculations I think is a middle rate. I’ve been waiting for a decision since July and is was an exhausting wait. For anybody wondering my scan date was 21 of July. To all of you wish you luck to hear the good news today xxxx

Salll3 · 30/11/2022 08:43

Can I please ask what is a journal just wondering when people say looked in my journal Myt be handy to no in future x

dandymum · 30/11/2022 09:06

@Salll3 think they’re on about Universal credit journal, it’s where you drop messages for uc to read

Salll3 · 30/11/2022 09:07

Ohhhhhh Okeys thankyou I’m not on UC thanks for letting me no x

Mummyof2girlys · 30/11/2022 09:59

Rang again this morning (can’t help myself) still with DM since Friday 25th nov, was scanned 26th aug. I hate not knowing.
good luck to us all still waiting x

Meli3 · 30/11/2022 10:37

@Sevenwolf I've not even had letters saying they're gunna back date yet but she assured me I went straight to the DM on the 21st Nov, hopefully I hear soon x

Sevenwolf · 30/11/2022 10:48

You will hear soon. I guess the same with dla some dm take longer than others

BlueBellIris · 30/11/2022 11:19

I just range today. Scan date 7 September 2022. Still in the stack not been allocated to a decision maker. When I rang in end September (as I hadn't heard anything not even acknowledgment they had it) was told 13 weeks (which would be 7 December). That seems unlikely now given update.

SingleMommaBoss · 30/11/2022 11:42

I just got off the phone after receiving a text message saying my son qualifies. We were awarded MRC and LRM. Scanned on the 18th Aug and back dated from the 5th July.

He is 7 and has no diagnosis, but has been in the pathway for ADHD and ASD since he was 3 and a half. We have OT, continence service, SENCO support. I have send referral and reports.

I never thought I would have such mixed feelings. This is the first time his needs have been officially validated. So many people have made me feel crazy… told me he was going to grow out of it… all children do this and that… I need to change my parenting… I need to be firmer with him… He is just being a boy… Now it’s real not only for us… someone else saw it too! I have been struggling alone for so long. I feel so tearful. But also, I am excited and happy I can provide more for him. This will help our family so much!

thank you for your support and good luck for those hearing today.

xxAmy · 30/11/2022 12:32

Well done @SingleMommaBoss how long was he awarded for if you don’t mind me asking? We got 2 years when he was 5, so wondering if his age affected them making it a longer claim x

Gemz8 · 30/11/2022 12:50

@SingleMommaBoss so happy for you xx

Wintersmummy96 · 30/11/2022 12:52

Has anyone sent more evidence and how long it took to scan on my claim is up for looking at middle December I sent it off today my daughter is 4 in 2 weeks and on the pathway for ASD sent in SEN plan, letter from child development practitioner about referrals been made for her and today I sent a letter from the hospital from the appointment she attended and I wrote out a day plan about what my daughter does she’s still in nappies will not use a potty nor toilet I’m panicking it’s not enough

Gemz8 · 30/11/2022 13:47

@Wintersmummy96 I sent my sons EHCP draft a few weeks ago. Unfortunately you don’t hear from them whether it was received or not. I sent mine by recorded delivery so it had to be signed for. Maybe give them a call in a few days if you want to check they’ve received it? It’s all stressful isn’t it and the wait certainly doesn’t help. I feel like I’ve sent enough evidence off but not written down enough myself as my head felt like it was going to explain. I’ve seen people have sent off added written support with the forms stating their child’s needs but I didn’t I only used the paper that was on the forms so Im worried it’ll be refused because I’ve not supplied enough from my own view. I suppose we now just have to play the waiting game. I think what you’ve sent should be enough. I’m sure I’ve seen people have sent less and been awarded. Fingers crossed for you x

EandPMama · 30/11/2022 15:15

I've been watching this thread for weeks..
My claim for my daughter was scanned on 30/08 they called me today to say I'd missed a question and confirm some details. I had a text within the hour to say she qualified and we would receive a letter soon confirming rates ect. I'd lost so much hope thinking I'd messed it up butu Our wait is finally over! The relief!

Gemz8 · 30/11/2022 15:22

@EandPMama that’s brilliant news! X

Gemz8 · 30/11/2022 19:37

Hello,
Anyone heard about their renewal claims? And does anyobe know how long it takes for an answer for renewals? I sent my renewal but didnt add any evidence as i sent some on my previous claim now im worried because i didn't send anything, my daugter was diagnosed with Autism but academically is very good however socially she finds it hard schools say shes absolutely fine because shes doing well in tests they say shes one of the cleverest in the year but they dont seem bothered that she doesnt have friends or enjoy classes such as PE because she doesnt like using her hands or fingers her handwriting is sometimes unreadable, shes 14 years and we still give her a bath and brush her teeth. Im worried because her care needs are more at home and not at school, we dont go out with ger because she refuses and cries where there is alot of people. I have now asked for CAMS and occupational health referral to both school and GP, anyone here able to give advise or in similar situation. Im worried because i didnt send evidence this time and i didnt get a professional to complete a section of the dla form they will refuse, i wrote anout how she isnt able to clean herself, brush her teeth she cant cross the road because if a car comes she runs away from the noise, iv dealt wirh caring and looking after her by myself never needed help from school so now im worried, i see alot of prople here sent alot of evidence, i did send alot on my first claim but nothing this time, does anyone know if it will matter that i didnt send evidence?
