Sevenwolf · 29/11/2022 14:37

@Gemma96x if im correct the dm has approved the back pay by the letters why not do it at same time? I’m not sure who to contact when I rang they said they cannot talk about payments on the phone?..

Roxmum14 · 29/11/2022 14:40

Does anyone know if they will send a copy of my filled in form back to me if I request it?

The dm accepted the late change off circumstances that's the letter I had and that my payment will be adjusted from the date which is the 7th July for me as dla took so long for a decision

How far back do UC backdate to? Is it from when DLA forms were received or since been awarded? X

Thank you guys you will all be this far through the process soon enough and it’s worth it when you can say the waiting and stress if the unknown is behind you. Have a happy Christmas and new year :)

Meli3 · 29/11/2022 16:51

I'm still waiting to hear from u/c she sent it straight to DM it's been a week. Hope I hear this side of Christmas what are my chances? X

EmmaT93 · 29/11/2022 16:58

Scan date 17th August
Rang earlier and it was awarded on 24th November, middle rate care, no mobility. Back dated to July when I rang for the forms.
Only awarded until July 2023 and have to apply for renewal 5 months before then so will need to resubmit the forms in February, bit annoying that I’ll have to start the process again so soon especially as condition is not going to have changed in just 3 months.
Happy to finally get the award though.

Sevenwolf · 29/11/2022 17:06

From receiving my 2 letters in my journal accepting my special circumstances it took 6 days to receive a payment date and amount. I did ring up and laid it on thick how much we needed the back pay for cost of living and Xmas she sent a message to my case worker yesterday and this evening I’ve received the final letter. I hope this information helps

Meli3 · 29/11/2022 18:23

I did put on my journal this morning that times are hard and struggled through waiting on decision's from dla and now U/c she just said it's with a DM so I really hope it's not too long now not had no letter back yet xx

Amymoody · 29/11/2022 19:17

@Gemma96x @Sevenwolf
I explained reasons why I was late doing the change of circumstances and I requested it to be backdated and it’s with the DM as of 21st November. Spoke to someone today and she said no decision has been made and they have until the 16th December to make a decision. It’s all a bit silly now, especially with the cost of living. Seems ok if we owe them but we have to wait ages when they owe us through no fault of our own. So glad your backpay has been accepted and Gemma I hope you hear back very soon
