Hi,
Been watching the thread for a while but thought I would add that my new claim was received 27th Oct, got a call today asking for bank details as I gave them wrong, was told I'll be getting a text and a letter within a few days, does anyone know if that will be a decision or just them registering the claim?

Think be registering it there only just started Septembers new claims you might hear something in January for a decision x

is anybody in here with scan date before august ? I started feeling a bit down that’s something is not quite ok with my son claim as is since July and they haven’t even looked at it yet. I think all the DLA system is messed up.

Have you tried phoning them? I They might be collecting more info, I read that can take a few weeks as doctors etc. have to get back to them, I've seen a few still waiting from july/August time, the whole system is bonkers really, I feel for those who have been at this longer than me, they're true super heros!

I thought so, I'm expecting a rejection as I didn't send much evidence so I've started collecting more to send, my mind went blank when on the phone to them though so didn't think to ask what stage it was at. At least I know somethings happening I guess!

Salll3 · 28/11/2022 21:14

Anyone no what day payments go in on if successful

Boysmama32 · 28/11/2022 21:49

thanks for the reply 🤗 yes I have phoned them probably more than 20-30 times and today as well I have spoke with them. Well when I said they haven’t looked at my claim at all, they did I think 3 weeks ago and found out that I forgot to sigh in the form 🙄(I know I’m silly, don’t even know how did I missed that)and they have send the claim back to me for signature, but since I was so quick and they have received the form within a couple of days they told me is gonna be backdated as the original date, I just can’t understand why they keep ignoring my claim for another 3 weeks and every time I phone them they keep telling me I’m gonna email the case worker to have a look 🙄🙄🙄.

I’ve only sent in letter from a child development practitioner and her SEN plan from school she has traits of ASD she’s 4 on 14th December the senco woman wrote out my form I’m panicking now it’s not enough so been ringing round trying to get some more evidence to send in before they look at it I have around another 3 weeks waiting

Gemz8 · 29/11/2022 09:09

Good luck to everyone still waiting

Salll3 · 29/11/2022 09:34

Phoned again this morning mine is still with a DM that’s a week now the man explained he doesn’t no why they are taking so long normally do around 9 each a day x

Gemz8 · 29/11/2022 09:56

@Salll3 when was your scan date? How frustrating! Hopefully you get good news soon x

Salll3 · 29/11/2022 10:00

Hi scan date was 22 august x

Gemz8 · 29/11/2022 10:02

@Salll3 it seems a bit of a free for all doesn’t it. People phoning and getting told different things regarding dates they’re up to. Hopefully not much longer for you 🤞 the wait is awful isn’t it x

Salll3 · 29/11/2022 10:07

Awwww thankyou hopefully not much longer now it’s just so frustrating, good luck to yourself and everyone else waiting x

Has anyone else had issues with universal credit backdating after getting awarded?

dandymum · 29/11/2022 12:14

@Joanne2016 we’ve only had it added on to uc for this month no mention of them backdated

joannef83 · 29/11/2022 12:14

@Salll3 Mine too. Its been with the DM since last week. He said on the phone that they could be waiting for more info (i.e. from school) hence the delay

Yes I have still not had back payment for child disabled element

Sevenwolf · 29/11/2022 12:56

How long does uc take to backdate things their end for the child disability element and the carers element ? I had the 2 letters to say they accept the special circumstances but nothing since, this will be a week ago tomorrow…

Joanne2016 · 29/11/2022 13:13

It’s crazy when I spoke to someone at DLA they said it should be automatically backdated. I’ve asked for it to be looked at so will wait and see.

Mummabear81 · 29/11/2022 13:36

Afternoon everyone 👋
Just got off the phone to the DLA after a 40 minute wait. My son was awarded LRM and MRC on the 27/11
This was our 1st claim
Scan date was 25/08
They wrote to us on the 12/10 saying there were still dealing with our claim.
It'll be 14 weeks on Thursday since we started the claim.
Money is pending with the bank and should be cleared soon depending on the bank.
The certificate was sent on the next working day after the decision.
My son is 5, has an autism diagnosis. We sent his draft EHCP, Speech & language form and Ed psychologist report. The mobility was awarded as he has no awareness of dangers outside and needs constant supervision. I filled the forms out myself and was worried I'd messed up!
Hope this info helps someone! It's been such a tough wait and I was petrified to ring them, but it was so worth it!
Good luck all 🍀

Salll3 · 29/11/2022 13:38
