@Mummyof2girlys what evidence did you send if you don’t mind me asking? i’m same date as you and i have tried ringing 3 times this morning but i get so far and then the phone gets put down

Mummyof2girlys · 28/11/2022 10:21

@kelllybartsboo with the application I sent 7 letters as evidence mainly hearing test outcomes to show they couldn’t get her to condition or respond to any of it (total of 3 done befor being discharged) sent hospital letters from when she’s been admitted with severe asthma attacks & also a letter to show she had consultation with paediatric doctor and is due assessments for ASD pretty soon. I’d very much say she’s quite severe but she only 2 so I am really worried her age could go against her. First time ever claiming an I don’t even know if I did it all right. I sent an extra 4 pages so I’m hoping 11 letters as evidence may help. Plus I wrote up at additional 4 pages on her daily life 🤷‍♀️ Just so they have a clearer picture I guess.
what have you sent with your child’s application? X

Mummyof2girlys · 28/11/2022 10:23

@kelllybartsboo i phoned at bang on 9am an got though in mind I was super shocked. X

kelllybartsboo · 28/11/2022 10:27

@Mummyof2girlys i think you should definitely be awarded with all the evidence you have sent in and also all the information you have put on the form. I am worrying because all i sent in was her asd and adhd diagnosis reports and school iehp and also she as only just been diagnosed at 14 but it’s getting harder as she gets older. I am finally on hold to them now 🙈 good luck for your decision x

Momsboys7 · 28/11/2022 10:30

Called this morning saying another week scan 5th sep hope we get good news today for ppl who are waiting

kelllybartsboo · 28/11/2022 11:04

I just managed to get through and i am so glad i did, been awarded lrm and mrc for 2 years. good luck to everyone

Lozzaaaaa · 28/11/2022 11:13

@kelllybartsboo Yay!! Congratulations! What was your scan date? X

SRog · 28/11/2022 11:14

I’ve just rang up, my scan date was also the 5th September. Was told they are normally looking at them from 12 weeks (which is today) she said normally when they look at it, it only takes a few days to reach a decision so hopefully hear something in the next week, max two. She said she will put me down for a text once they reach a decision so I can call up to find out as post takes 7-10 days.

SingleMommaBoss · 28/11/2022 11:36

I just received a letter from the post asking to send more information regarding his nationality. I’m not British, but my son was born in England and his dad is English. They say in the letter they want to see originals… has anyone had to do that? I just feel this will delay the process even more.. I guess another couple of weeks for us to hear?

LucasMummy88 · 28/11/2022 11:46

@SingleMommaBoss I had to send in my son’s original birth certificate. I think this was because I don’t claim child benefit so they wanted to verify that my son actually exists.

Boysmama32 · 28/11/2022 12:44

Hello ladies. This is my first time writing in here lol. My scan date was 21 of July and I believe is 19 weeks so far and no decision has been made yet as I was on the phone with the DLA call centre few minutes ago. Last week I have called them again on Thursday and somebody told me they gonna email the team to have a look on my claim. I have called them probably over 20 times lol with no success so far. Btw is my first claim and my boy is 4 y old. I’m so worried as his special health visitor have filled in my claim and I send her report and his first paediatrician report( he is not diagnosed but is in the process) and I believe some school report as well.

Eleanor55 · 28/11/2022 13:03

But if an update from me - had a call just a lady from DWP just wanting to check why my form was late. Told her the reasons again in more detail and she said they were making a decision about my daughters claim shortly today.
DS 23rd August scan date
DD 24th August scan date
heard nothing about my sons claim yet
will update when I know any more

Lozzaaaaa · 28/11/2022 13:34

@Eleanor55 Fingers crossed for you! Is it a new claim? X

xxAmy · 28/11/2022 13:36

Aww good luck to all, I am following wondering if I should apply for my middle child or not. We currently get it for our youngest but had much more evidence and he is more severe

Eleanor55 · 28/11/2022 13:54

I just plucked up the courage to call over my sons claim - he was awarded on 23rd November LRM and HRC. They agreed to backdated even though I was late with the forms as I explained our issues. No payment in bank yet though. Said the back pay would be paid up to 29th November and next payment after will be 27 December 2022

kelllybartsboo · 28/11/2022 14:18

@Lozzaaaaa Thank You my scan date was 25/8 told me decision was made yesterday x

MimiBeee · 28/11/2022 14:20

Just wondering , If you send info separate to the claim form , will they send confirmation that they received it ? It was first class recorded . Scan date 30th sept so still a while to go :)

Eleanor55 · 28/11/2022 14:32

It’s a new claim for my daughter. I’ve previously claimed for my son HRC LRM then on renewal MRC LRM then didn’t reclaim for 4 years so his was classed as a new claim. it was just so stressful the whole thing. My daughter has an EHC plan, she’s severe dyslexia which I was careful how I worded , her reading writing is a major issue and she is 4 years behind. She has ASD traits also and is being assessed. I’m not sure if she will be awarded but I hope so for her.

Eleanor55 · 28/11/2022 14:33

I didn’t send any extra info bar EHCP and contact details for paediatrician school and GP but I did detail a lot

Shellbel10 · 28/11/2022 14:52

Anyone having any luck with mandatory reconsideration

Jader123 · 28/11/2022 15:50

Hey everyone, never posted but been lurking for a while! Scan date 1st Sept and I've just had a text saying my son qualifies... no idea what yet but so glad my fight for him has paid off. Wanted to post so people have idea of what dates they are working around as that's what's kept me going on this post! Good luck everyone xx

Lozzaaaaa · 28/11/2022 15:52

@Jader123 Congratulations!!

Mummytolucia · 28/11/2022 16:07

Oh fabulous I bet your relieved I'm gonna give them a call as our dates the 21st sept although I did get a text Friday to say they where still looking at it.

Bee2696 · 28/11/2022 16:20

Hi,
Been watching the thread for a while but thought I would add that my new claim was received 27th Oct, got a call today asking for bank details as I gave them wrong, was told I'll be getting a text and a letter within a few days, does anyone know if that will be a decision or just them registering the claim?

Boysmama32 · 28/11/2022 19:12

is anybody in here with scan date before august ? I started feeling a bit down that’s something is not quite ok with my son claim as is since July and they haven’t even looked at it yet. I think all the DLA system is messed up.
