I’ll be on week 9 on Monday but taking upto 13-14 weeks for a decision but that takes me to 26th December when they will be shut so I’m guessing be start of January depending what date they are upto I’ve only received the letter so far

What is your scan date @Lozzaaaaa ? Mine is the 15th September & I was still expecting a long wait.

@LucasMummy88 17th, the letter and text were just saying there is a delay, think we still have at least another 3 weeks don’t you? X

Yes minimum. I received my text last Friday. I’m not expecting a decision until around Christmas time. Im praying for good news but I’m not overly hopeful due to his age. I hope you get good news @Lozzaaaaa xx

the school filled in my form I’ve sent in my SEN plan and letter from her child development person who sees her, she will be 4 next month has traits of ASD been referred to speech therapy as she’s talking within 16-26months has sensory issues I’m just scared there going to decline it as that’s only thing I sent in

@LucasMummy88 how old is your little one? I’m thinking the same because my girl turned 2 in august so I’m worried we’ll get rejected purley based on age.

How do you know your scan date? Do they send you a letter? And if so, how long between sending the form off and receiving your scan date did you wait? I posted it 10 days ago and worrying they’ve not got it.

@Mummyof2girlys he is 2.5. I did send quite a bit of evidence in, a report from his complex needs worker, speech & language report, we are waiting on an assessment from the paediatrician. Im pretty certain he will get an autism diagnosis at some point.
I just think that he will be declined due to his age. I believe it’s really difficult to get a successful claim for under 5’s. Fingers crossed though.
@Lostatsea10 it was weeks from me sending my forms in to receiving acknowledgment. I ended up ringing to double check, that’s when I asked them my scan date.

@LucasMummy88 yes my girls due brain scans and assessments in a matter of months now just waiting on the app. She’s quite severe ASD for sure,none-verbal & quite bad asthma on top. She screams a lot especially through the night. If like me have you noticed everything seems to be getting worse the older they are getting? I did send 11 letters of evidence so I’m just keeping everything crossed. She also scored zero on the ASQ with health visitor reviews x

@Mummyof2girlys Please don't worry about your DC's age, I have also heard it's harder when they're younger but my DS was 2 and a half when I applied for him and we just got his backdated award payment.

He's not diagnosed yet either so all I could send in was a initial doctor assessment report with the form- it seems to come down to the severity of which their condition(s) affect them day and night.

@HeathenPlayingHouse amazing thank you for giving us some hope. My almost 4 yr old is also suspected ASD not as severe but lots of traits,behaviours & obsessions only I’m waiting on a little more input from nursery now befor we try to apply. I don’t fancy my chances twice it’s just awful,the worry and the stress and definitely the wait. Thank you x

Nope still waiting . Been with DM for over a week now. My from was received 18th aug. Fingers crossed we all get some good news next week. X

I think once they send you a text it means they've picked your form up and got your number from the form. I'm coming up to week ten on this coming Wednesday hoping and praying we get a decison mid December scan date 21st Sept

When I phoned last week the women said new claims are currently taking around 12 and half weeks I daren’t phone in case it’s bad news 😩

Hi all mines 15 weeks this week been with decision maker since 17th Nov. So fingers crossed we all get an outcome soon. X

Hi every1 does any know know how long carers allowance takes.

Rang at 9am and still with DM. Makes me feel so nervous!! Scan date 26th aug. Anybody recently had a decision what to as your scan date please?
