DLA Wait Times Part 5 2022

Hi,

I created a new thread as the old one is reaching its limit.

I rang them and it's still not with a dm and should be next week so I'll call next Friday x

@Gemma96x they seem to have hit a brick wall this week, no progress since august 1st , looks like we’re in for yet another week of waiting 😞x

I have just see on the Facebook group I am in that a lady in the UK has been awarded scan date 4th of September !

@OKJ did you hear back off your coc? X

Is anyone having trouble getting through to DLA? I’ve called 5 times and keeps cutting out!
i have also seen people on the Facebook group being approved within a month of sending forms. It’s crazy and unfair.

I think the people who are getting awarded within a month are living in Northern Ireland. But yes just seen 3rd / 4th August now being awarded in the UK.

I sent in his IMP for nursery and they also done a report. We were awaiting referral to peads and physio which we have now had so I’m going to request reports from them to send in too. Always a battle isn’t it. Scan date 27th July. I am most definitely doing a MR x

So on Monday they told me it was with a DM, now it’s in a queue for DM! 😡 so frustrating

I’ve just called scan date 1st August, been with the decision maker since Monday and still had no decision yet.

Tbh I don't think they really know themselves as I keep getting told different everytime I ring apparently I now have 2 weeks to wait. They don't even know their own job. It's really frustrating 😕 😒 my scan date os 3rd august X

@Gemma96x the lady was so rude to me, said why have I called when the wait is currently 13 weeks. I said I’m over 13 weeks now hence why I called. She said we only get told the waiting time not what dates they work up to and there was no way of telling when it would get looked at. Just annoying being given different info every phone call

I no its shocking I'm 14 weeks and she said it's 13 weeks 🤔

Just had a phone call from DM, asked questions confirming my sons medical conditions, and he’s awarded us until 2026(until my son is 5) giving MRC!
my son is 17 months and he said we must apply again just before he’s 3 if his mobility doesn’t improve. He was so lovely on the phone if only the call assessors where the same!
Made up for my son. Feel like a weights been lifted!

just had another call from the DM, he’s going to HRC because of his nighttime care needs! He hadn’t read all of the form when he called the first time and is processing it all now before he goes home. I’m shocked!

I wrote to my mp this morning, and I’ve had a timely reply asking if they could investigate it with the dwp on my behalf as to why there is such a backlog. If others do this to it might put a rocket up their backsides and sort things a little quicker.

@Gemma96x he asked about my sons medical conditions, his birth, he wasn’t able to see where it was written that my son has global development delay so I helped him with the copy of the form I had at home.
then when he rang back he spoke about his need for care during the night etc. it was basically just confirming what was on the form. He was really good. It wasn’t like a questioning, he even said I just want to make sure we’re on the same page of what the care needs are and that he wasn’t trying to catch me out per say.

Ok thank you just getting to the point where I feel I've not done enough or sent enough evidence in with my sons form xx
