THIS is the hilarious response I got to an ad I put up for a mother's help..

I would love this job particularly the nights. I am tidy and very organised and bossy. I have extensive experience with children of all ages. I am not sure I would want to share care in the afternoons. My husband suggests that it would only work if I was in charge at all times. Please tell me your highgate address as I only like certain roads....not the tufnell park end. I suggest that in the afternoons you clean while I do the childcare. I would expect my own dressing room as well as a large comfortable bedroom with large ensuite bathroom. I would prefer 3 days on and 4 off per week. I can supply excellent references from my mother in law and my husband's aunt. If you are happy with my terms do let me know when you would like me to start.

Don't flame me..but my mother just admitted it was her (after spending hours convincing me that the applicant was the right person for the job and I should interview her)! She thinks it's the funniest thing ever..am not so sure!

Are you offering her the job?

HSMMaCM · 15/10/2014 21:15

Your mum is fab.

Jinxxx · 16/10/2014 10:43

You should give your Mum a good talking to - just to let her know how many other perfectly good candidates you have dismissed from consideration having seen how closely she met the spec!

You don't think she secretly wants the job, and this is her slightly bizarre way of raising the possibility?

caramelwaffle · 18/10/2014 11:48

Fabulous mother Grin

FoxgloveFairy · 18/10/2014 23:03

As my Mum would say- holy mother of God!
