I would love this job particularly the nights. I am tidy and very organised and bossy. I have extensive experience with children of all ages. I am not sure I would want to share care in the afternoons. My husband suggests that it would only work if I was in charge at all times. Please tell me your highgate address as I only like certain roads....not the tufnell park end. I suggest that in the afternoons you clean while I do the childcare. I would expect my own dressing room as well as a large comfortable bedroom with large ensuite bathroom. I would prefer 3 days on and 4 off per week. I can supply excellent references from my mother in law and my husband's aunt. If you are happy with my terms do let me know when you would like me to start.

Blatant place marking. This can ONLY get better

Wailywaily · 08/10/2014 22:06

On the plus side at least you would know what you are letting yourself in for if she agrees to work for you. Sounds likenyoul I've in the wrong area though, what a shame Grin

MildDrPepperAddiction · 08/10/2014 22:06

Please transcribe the interview and post here Grin

Question 1:
you do understand, as a Mother's Help, that you don't get to live in my house - don't you?

Lookslikeimstuckhere · 08/10/2014 22:17

Tell her (please sing if you can, she'd probably appreciate that):

If you want this choice position
Have a cheery disposition
Rosy cheeks, no warts!
Play games, all sorts.

AlpacaYourThings · 08/10/2014 22:20

Amazing! I love the comment about you doing the cleaning Grin

Castlemilk · 08/10/2014 22:20

'Err...about this you doing the childcare while I clean... You do understand the words 'Mother's Help', don't you? As in, I'm the mother -who does the mothering - and you are the help?'

I think we'll need to see the references too.

Crowen85 · 08/10/2014 22:38

Bloody heck lol!! I thought I was a bit demanding in my needs as a nanny.

Lookslikeimstuckhere · 08/10/2014 22:43

Oh yes, written references definitely needed. Although if you don't think you live in the right area, could you get them mailed to someone who does? Don't want to miss out on those beauties.

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 08/10/2014 22:48

Blatant place marking Grin

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 08/10/2014 22:50

I wonder if you will receive a response from a lady who replied to my ad looking for a nanny: " I have managed an orphanage in Romania, so that leaves me well qualified to look after your children".

WhiskeyTangoAlphaFoxtrot · 08/10/2014 22:51

i put 50p on her being from Muldova or a bordering country!. I know a few people from this part of the World and until you get used to their way of communication it can be startling. But i am used to it now. i work with a woman and I had to train her how to soften her NO. She was rolling her eyes in my face at the ridiculousness of having to dance around giving somebody a flat no. I like her!

WhiskeyTangoAlphaFoxtrot · 08/10/2014 22:52

ha ha Belinda! That made me laugh out loud. Blush

chocolatedrops31 · 08/10/2014 23:01

Another place marker hereGrinGrin

OldLadyKnowsSomething · 08/10/2014 23:26

OP, people post to "placemark" so the thread appears on their "threads I'm on" list. They could just bookmark and "watch" but some habits die hard. :)

ChippingInLatteLover · 08/10/2014 23:27

You have to interview her and record it. Pleeeeeeeeeease!!

(place marking just means that the thread gets put on your 'Threads I'm On' list and you can see where you read up to)

Whereisegg · 08/10/2014 23:33

We're gonna need to see those references Grin

bialystockandbloom · 08/10/2014 23:34

Love it Grin

Why does she need her own dressing room, I wonder?! How many clothes is she planning to bring?

Oh yes, you must get the references.

Dontlaugh · 08/10/2014 23:41

Brilliant!
Interview, at least.
