Been getting pains all evening, just been to loo and wiped and there was bloody discharge (aware could be because of internal) - Consultant was convinced I would be going soon when he did internal today - I am praying that tonight is the night as I am fed up!

Did anyone else have bloody discharge (not a show) pre-labour?

oh, and DH says I told the midwife to suck off, as she had not had four babies, and so had no experience to base delivering mine on

psychomum5 · 04/02/2009 17:53

fuck off even

see...............I am *^daydreaming of sucking on the G&A

pooka · 04/02/2009 18:00

Gas and air was brilliant with ds (second labour). Was left with it after ds was born and the stitches had been done, and kind of carried on (afterpains, I justified). I remember reading the details on the canister and trying to make DH go and get a pen so he could write down the address of the co. so I could have some at home. Was planning a G&A party and everything. Funny thing was I had forgotten the name/address the following day.

With dd I hadn't got the hang of it so much - so kept sucking and sucking on the mouthpiece, which kept falling off mid-contraction. DH said I looked funny, like a panicky goldfish as I desperately attempted to reattach the nozzle. Again.

Ha! I think I just figured out why they don't allow here during labor. Poor doctors are afraid they'll get killed my crazy hallucinating ladies.

psychomum5 · 04/02/2009 18:16

@ MKG

you have made a very good point

IdrisTheDragon · 04/02/2009 18:19

Ooh - skimming through thread to find Maghull mentioned. I went to school there, my mum and dad still teach there and my sister was born in Ormskirk hospital.

Poledra · 04/02/2009 18:33

God, you go off to do the shopping, collect the DDs, have a RL generally, and it all kicks off here . Hope all is going well - no message Lulu?

BTW, G&A is rubbish - all it did was give me pins and needles in my face and hands (so sort of like the TENS machine giving you pins and needles in your back I suppose). Anyway, have never understood this evangelical loving of it. Epidurals, on the other hand, rock

PinkTulips · 04/02/2009 18:44

i was told by so many people the G&A made them feel drunk i was afraid to try it for labour... the thought of feeling drunk for that was horrifying!

bet she's had it by now

she'll have to change her posting name though, pgwno3 is no longer apt really is it?
