Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Morning all
It sounds as though we're all just sitting tight for the moment, waiting to see what happens.

VS - glad to hear that you've been able to make your own decisions, and hopefully do things YOUR way. Thanks also for the prediction - seeing as there's still no sign I'll be holding out for Friday now!

Have a good day everyone, and looking forward to hearing how everyone's doing once you're up.

fryalot · 08/04/2008 08:21

I'll just get the bacon on then

Well there wasn't much sleep to be had in the squonk household last night, so forgive me if I am a tad eeyoreish

Lulumama · 08/04/2008 08:22

why not squonk? poorly?

fryalot · 08/04/2008 08:26

I think ds's asthma is playing up - he's been up every night for a week, coughing. Last night he wasn't coughing, but I think he's just got in the habit of waking up. Which woke dd2 up, which woke dp up, so there were four in the bed and the little one said "I wannnnnnna milk drink" so mummy said "no" and everyone cried and they all stayed awake a little bit longer and finally mummy had an inch worth of bed in which to sleep....

CeylonSapphire · 08/04/2008 08:55

In which case, Squonk, we'll let you off...

I hope ds soon settles down, and that they all don't give you too hard a day today.

Lulumama · 08/04/2008 09:26

oh poor you squonk, and poor DS

sounds miserable

VictorianSqualor · 08/04/2008 09:31

Awww poor little squonkdude

I feel CRAPOLA.

Had a terrible nights sleep with backache that just wouldnt shift no matter how I laid, and I must have kept squishing my stomach cos I woke up a few times with awful pains in my belly too.

Now I feel sick as a parrot and can't stop throwing up. Great.

DonDons · 08/04/2008 09:43

sorry you are feeling horrid VS - but isn't spewing a sign of a good old clear out.....?

MerlinsBeard · 08/04/2008 09:47

dson't want to get ur hopes up VS but sounds like it could be pre labour

VictorianSqualor · 08/04/2008 10:17

Arghh!
What a faff trying to cancel my CS.
I called the womens centre who put me through to the delivery suite who have made me call silver star who are making me wait for a doctor to call me back.
I DON'T WANT IT FFS.
At least I'm cancelling it and not just not turning up!

Lulumama · 08/04/2008 10:19

you would have thought they would be glad you were letting them know!! i imagine they have to ensure you are aware of the risks/benefits ot cancelling before they can cancel though

VictorianSqualor · 08/04/2008 10:21

I suppose, Even if I was going ahead with it thogh I doubt they'd be able to operate on someone who is ill!
I can't stop throwing up and feel like shite, not exactly the best idea to go for an operation tomorrow.

ruty · 08/04/2008 10:22

Ah Peachy that's brilliant news!
Feel for you Squonk.
Keep us posted VS, all sounding good. Very, very exciting....[silver star doctors are pretty good about supporting your decision i think?]

VictorianSqualor · 08/04/2008 10:35

Hopefully ruty, They may say they want me to have a check-up but I'm not sure there is much point.
I saw the mw yesterday everything was perfectly fine and silver star clinic would be next tuesday which s probably around the time I'd have my CS rebooked for.
I just want to go back to bed!

scorpio1 · 08/04/2008 11:05

Morning, had rubbish sleep too. I look so swollen of face today!! have tons of concealer on and have just woken up - i went back to bed after i took the kids out at 9am, they are at aschool and nursery.

No news to report here - very active baby today, MW tomorrow morning.

scorpio1 · 08/04/2008 11:07

Oh and Squonk - i had a dream about you last night. You worked at my dc's nursery and i found out you were pg, because i saw you at my MW's clinic and just clicked who you were, because at the nursery on the 'in' and 'out' sheet it said 'Squonk MW' and i guessed.

fryalot · 08/04/2008 11:19

lol, scorpio - I'm not pg, but we're working on it!

Thanks for the sympathy, everyone. Do you guys know what I need to keep me awake all day?

ANOTHER BABY on this thread!!!!!

Sounds like VS may be on the way... how about the rest of you?

VictorianSqualor · 08/04/2008 11:47

I dreamt about Mn last night too, I dreamt about Cod though.

MerlinsBeard · 08/04/2008 12:19

VS...didn't you have a sweep yesterday?

Your bag is packed isn't it?

VictorianSqualor · 08/04/2008 12:21

She couldnt do the sweep, my cervix is closed. She had a rummage and said it's really soft and anterior just closed.
My bag has been packed for AGES!

MerlinsBeard · 08/04/2008 12:23

is this your first?

VictorianSqualor · 08/04/2008 12:25

3rd!
But the other two were both CS's so I've never dilated before and as such have been told to treat it like a first.

ruty · 08/04/2008 14:22

sorry I didn't mean it all sounded good when you're throwing up for oxon VS! Meant the decision and the clarity, etc. I've just been told the baby is so big they're recommending an elective...so I don't think I'm going to get a last minute wave of courage!
I have had my first dream about a MNetter - Marslady! I've never met her, but she was being lovely and doulaish in my dream. What does it all mean...

PuhPeng · 08/04/2008 15:39

Throwing up seems like a good sign. Fingers crossed!

The only 'sign' I have is a pressing need to keep dusting and washing and tidying and sorting and...

FuzzyPantsDonDons · 08/04/2008 15:52

Right - have just eaten yet another pineapple and made a huge pot of curry. Have also reacquainted self with nether regions after months of neglect (pre birth pruning seemed a good idea) - was aghast at state of self hence name change (wish I'd not bothered).

Is nesting real or just brought on by intense boredom?
