Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
VictorianSqualor · 11/04/2008 13:23

LOL Scorpio.
I have actually considered what to do for the childrens lunch if I have to go to hospital so made sure we had clingfilm
I can picture it now, BiL turning up to watch them and me slicing sandwiches and covering biscuits.

scorpio1 · 11/04/2008 13:26

if its today i will make DH go to Tesco, lol.

VictorianSqualor · 11/04/2008 13:35

I meant to say MoM, I had mastitis, horrible thing, when does the drs open?

MerlinsBeard · 11/04/2008 13:46

Have you stopped vomitting now VS?

Am being seen at 2:20. She tried to fob me off by saying i could go in at 6 and i may be seen. On teh advice of someone on my other thread (painful breast in breastfeeding) i told her my 5 week old wouldn't get fed and miraculously i am in at 2:20!!

VictorianSqualor · 11/04/2008 13:48

Yes, I've stopped being sick.
Do you have any red marks on your boob? does it feel incredibly full like you need to feed no matter how much you feed from it?
That's how mine was anyway, feeding was painful but also weirdly the only thing that gave me any relief.
I had a huge temp with it though, my eyes were burning and stuff, nasty.
Don't let them fob you off either, you CAN have anti-b's whilst breastfeeding and you want them.

VictorianSqualor · 11/04/2008 14:18

Just thoguht about something after reading another thread, do babies movements get less now as there is less space?
Bbay doesn;t seem to be anywhere near as active but I'm not sure if I just haven't noticed it moving iyswim.

scorpio1 · 11/04/2008 14:22

Yes, they move less, and when they do move its more big and sticks out iyswim? you still need to be feeling 10 movements by dinner time.

VictorianSqualor · 11/04/2008 14:24

I just played lostprophets at it and it's woken up a bit.
Probably scared stiff

scorpio1 · 11/04/2008 14:24

when i play Amy Winehouse at mine she gets equally terrified, lol

scorpio1 · 11/04/2008 14:25

Mmmm i heart crisps

VictorianSqualor · 11/04/2008 14:26

I think it might be my singing and jumping around that scares it though, DD always told me my singing makes the birds leave the trees

paranoidmummy · 11/04/2008 14:47

LOL at your dd vs. she sounds vair amusing!!!

mine def has diff movements too. when it hasn't moved for a while i 'grab it and wobble it' a bit'! my dh says its tantamount to child cruelty but it is only cos i want to check its ok...

Carey87 · 11/04/2008 15:26

HAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA at Scorpio - because we need toilet roll and cereal - really made me giggle!! thank you

DonDons · 11/04/2008 15:33

lol Scorpio! I need kitchen roll!

Picallilli - we looked around a couple of weeks ago too - thought the MW led rooms were a bit nicer than the consultancy ones - but am past caring now anyway.

Been to see midwife and been promised sweep for next Friday

PuhPeng · 11/04/2008 19:54

Lol @ MW vs Fanjo.

My midwife assured me this baby would come early. I want my money back.

lulumama · 11/04/2008 20:36

no babies today then?

yer all barred ! BARRED!!

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 11/04/2008 20:37

psst... lulu - wanna bacon buttie?

(don't tell the others... keeping us guessing about their babies and all. Sheesh! Are we even sure they're pregnant??? hey? hey? )

lulumama · 11/04/2008 20:38

i'll have a fakon roll, ta very much

after my hideous dinner of shop bought pizza, it will taste like nectar!

MerlinsBeard · 11/04/2008 20:39

i do have mastitis

v angry breast with red lines and feel so so rough. glad i went to DRs as i was going to wait until 6 wk check on tuesday! Have ABs to take which will hopefully work quickly!

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 11/04/2008 20:39

when you say shop bought pizza, I take it you don't mean Dominoes?

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 11/04/2008 20:40

oh feck MoM! Sounds awful.

Do they still recommend cabbage leaves for mastitis?

VictorianSqualor · 11/04/2008 20:45

DC's just had shop bought pizza here too I did combine it with tear and share and they got their veg from the tomato ketchup though.
Oh MoM, it's shit but at least it will go now, IIRC it didn;t take long for the antib's to start working, just don't stop feeding from it, it really does help.

MerlinsBeard · 11/04/2008 21:15

its horrible but she was v supportive.

yes she mentioned cabbage leaves-specifically savoy-but said ABs would be quicker

plus i don't want to smell horrible!!!

lulumama · 11/04/2008 21:16

nope, asda!

that sucks MoM, hope you are better soon
