Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
paranoidmummy · 11/04/2008 12:55

i said EXACTLY that to dh last night vs . he actually asked me why i was putting the comp on and my response was...'to see if any other #### has had their baby before me' obv i am very ashamed and didn't mean it BUT i was very cross at the whole 'maybe i'm in labour/oh no i'm constipated' fandango

paranoidmummy · 11/04/2008 12:56

btw, has peachy been around lately? i hope sebastien is ok now

VictorianSqualor · 11/04/2008 12:58

DP said it's my fault, and that it's because the people who have had the babies aren't as bothered when it comes, it's all psychological apparently, I need to stop caring

scorpio1 · 11/04/2008 12:59

oh yeah, it's so that easy....can you imagine if men had to do this? they would all have CS at 35 weeks or something, with ££££££ maternity pay and servants free from the Gov'mt.

VictorianSqualor · 11/04/2008 13:02

Ha, yes.
My reply was something like 'sure, I'll stop caring, because it's THAT FUCKING SIMPLE'

paranoidmummy · 11/04/2008 13:03

my mother and dh keep saying that to me... apparently if i relaxed and 'stopped thinking about it' then my body would just do its thing. its pretty easy to stop thinking about it when you have been pregnant for 6 years...

scorpio1 · 11/04/2008 13:04

like the other day when DH said 'oh its boring all this waiting'. i was very cross at him and said 'oh it must be so hard for you' and he refused to be in the same room as me, lol

VictorianSqualor · 11/04/2008 13:04

I do relax, when I'm asleep but then the cramps or the heartburn wake me up, so it's NOT MY GODDAMN FAULT!

scorpio1 · 11/04/2008 13:05

thats IF we can sleep - kicking, heartburn, leg cramp, greedy quilt hogger husbands...

scorpio1 · 11/04/2008 13:06

although i solved that problem, have just purchased a mahoosive quilt for our double bed

paranoidmummy · 11/04/2008 13:07

lol scorpio! i keep getting many-a-disdainful look from dh before he walks out the room and leaves me to fester. much like the birth of my new niece on her due date the other day...'fucking typical' was my initial reaction . i think pregnancy has made me evil to the core

MerlinsBeard · 11/04/2008 13:09

scorpio, sorry but VS is next

Whats that about Sebastian?

I think i have mastitis am in pain feel like dog poo and can't ring Dr for appt yet (closed for lunch - how dare they!)

scorpio1 · 11/04/2008 13:10

i will let her go today if i can have the night or tomorrow day

MerlinsBeard · 11/04/2008 13:11

deal

oh, had forgotten i flounced off teh thread

Piccalilli2 · 11/04/2008 13:12

Ooh DonDons I think we are at the same hospital. I went to visit 2 friends from NCT there yesterday so had a good nose around the facilities.

PM, scorpio, VS..I think we're all entitled to be a bit tetchy at the moment. And if dh moans one more time about not being able to drink in case he has to drive me to hospital I may have to kill him.

VictorianSqualor · 11/04/2008 13:12

I'm paranoid about dates now aswell.
Today (11th) was the date of my wedding to XP which I cancelled (thankfully) so I'd rpefer baby not to have the 11th as it's birthday and the 14th is my mothers birthday who I disowned over 6years ago, so I'd prefer not to ahve it then either.
Sod's law if it comes naturally it'll be one of those days.
I Wanted it to come the 6th(best friends bday) or the 9th(dads bday)

paranoidmummy · 11/04/2008 13:12

i think you'll have millie tomorrow morning scorpio. that's my inkling anyway...

scorpio1 · 11/04/2008 13:14

IKWYM about dates, i don't Mills on the 19th. Don't get anxious about it too much, if db is born on one of those dates it will be a better reason to be happier on those dates in the future iyswim?

scorpio1 · 11/04/2008 13:16

Also its my BF birthday tomorrow and DH wants to go...but he can only have one drink incase he has to follow ambulance to hospital anyway. and i feel all vulnerable at the mo. i may try to book a babysitter, give me something to do if not got Mills then.

paranoidmummy · 11/04/2008 13:19

that makes sense about the dates vs but as scorpio says it would soon become just the date of your child's birthday.

saying that i got paranoid that if the baby came on a wednesday it would be 'full of woe' - that's just ridiculous paranoia! i said it when the cons booked me in for the induction yest and he looked at me like i had cracked...

VictorianSqualor · 11/04/2008 13:19

I've been making DP drink, in the fucked up logic that is my brain I decided baby will come when it's not a good time.
So was expecting yesterday when he was out with his mate, playing squash (he wouldve left his phone in the changing room) or when they had been for a pnt, and just as my shopping was meant to be delivered, with me covered in paint and DS's room half finished.
But NO.

VictorianSqualor · 11/04/2008 13:19

PM, DS is a wednesday child. He is the happiest kid I ever met.

scorpio1 · 11/04/2008 13:21

i was hoping for the other week when DH got in at 1am

Now i think it will be tonight because we need toilet roll and cereal.

scorpio1 · 11/04/2008 13:21

Jamie is Wednesday, Reilly is Thursday.

paranoidmummy · 11/04/2008 13:23

vs, thank you, that's good to know. i really did think i was being quite ridiculous about days of the week mattering! to be fair tho, if this baby takes after me in any way in how i have been this preg it is going to be a moody little thing!!!

I'm happy for it to come out as soon as posible now...
