Are you having this dc at home?

jamila169 · 05/01/2008 10:25

yup -midwife's been, was 2cm, veryy soft and stretchy,so we decided that babe's head is a bit deflexed (I've been up 3 nights niggling) since she's gone to do visits I've had some mighty rolling contractions so that's probably not the case anymore

NorthernLurker · 05/01/2008 13:35

spugs - do we really, really want to know

Good luck Lisa

Klaw · 05/01/2008 13:42

OMG Lisa!!!!!! have just noticed!

lulumama · 05/01/2008 13:42

clenching your mouth is not good when you are in labour, and keeping your mouth loose helps keep your other bits loose ! !horsey lips is blowing out through your mouth to make your lips go 'rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr' , stops the clenching !

Klaw · 05/01/2008 13:48

horsey lips is where you breathe out hard and make your lips flutter.... much like you see a horse do

When you do this, or belly laugh, all your oriffices (sp cos it doesn't look right however I spell it) can't help but open!!! It's good birthing practice!

(You know how likely you are to lose a bit of bladder control when you laugh too hard?)

come Lisa, I need an update!!!

Klaw · 05/01/2008 13:49

Hello Lulu!!!! [hug]

Klaw · 05/01/2008 13:52

Lulu, (slight hyjack) have you got a Rebozo? Have been looking at some on Ebay.... from a Mexican site.

Must arrange to go to online seller near me and see her stock.

Klaw · 05/01/2008 13:54

Oh dear, my RL is going to pot today as I'm watching for a HBA2C on another forum. her waters went last night after a week of on/off labour...

NorthernLurker · 05/01/2008 13:57

I thought that was what the horseylips related to - see Spugs we didn't really want to visualise that with them did we?

Go lisa - and Klaw's other lady too!

mom2latinoboys · 05/01/2008 14:00

rebozos are the best. I have a great pic of ds1 wrapped up in mil's rebozo. They are like the most functional garment I know of.

lulumama · 05/01/2008 14:36

i knew it was you, lovely new name ! i have the chance to go to a rebozo workshop in liverpool, if i can get childcare... look very interesting ! i am sure someone i know can get hold of them for a reasonable price ...

BTW, it is orifices!

i love these threads !

lulumama · 05/01/2008 14:37

those new Xmas pics of your boys are just gorgeous!

jamila169 · 05/01/2008 14:37

Lokks like another drawn out one this! Enough pain and general uncomfortableness to make me restless and a bit snappy, but only a small speeding up in contractions -so i'll probably be like this until later on, then all hell will break loose for about 20 minutes - It's bloody frustrating, i need descent vibes

go up the stairs sideways, and try to stay upright, make sure you are peeing enough... make room for baby to come down

don;t be

this is just a nature;s way of making sure when it kicks off, you are not too tired already

have some RLT with some honey and maybe try to sleep to conserve energy

bit of nipple stim ?

hang on in there, it is all good and all helping
