Congratulations - sorry it didn't all go to plan, but you have a happy, healthy baby and that's the main thing!

Crikey, what a week, she's determined to make her presence felt!. Today is the first day of scream freee feeding, after 3 nights of hell, I've never come across a baby that can scream for 6 hours solid before, however, after having to fool her for a couple of days by giving her a tiny cupfeed before attempting to get her latched on, she's finally cracked it and has fed beautifully every 2 hours today -I think she was a bit annoyed about her rapid introduction to the world.
Anyhoo , We have named her Ella Louise (after having to put my foot down with DH, who was coming up with some truly dire random suggestions) and she's the double of her big sis, but blonder

Thanks everyone for keeping my chin up (virtual cake all round for my lovely cyber doulas - knowing you were there was the best support)

Ah Lisa, Ella is adorable!!! And I love the name. Can't use it myself as it is the name of a much beloved cat, god less her soul, who passed away on 17/05/05.

Maybe she just needs a bit of cranial osteopathy?

Can't wait to chat to you more and hear all about Ella, but you take care jsut now and enjoy your babymoon.

I'm so happy for you!

lulumama · 11/01/2008 07:32

awwwwwwwww, she is a beauty, absolutely gorgeous. lovely names glad you have got the feeding cracked, now you need to get in bed , nekkid and have your baby moon ( to steal Marslady;s phrase!!! ) agree re cranial osteopathy if screaming starts again. xxxxxx
