Process induction - feeling hopeless and bored out of my mind!

I have read through countless threads on this since last night and just posting for company and some positive stories really! In for induction (40+3 today). Had propess pessary put in at 10.30pm last night, absolutely no signs of anything whatsoever still 😩 feeling really hopeless. Dd (10) was 10 days overdue and labour was 39 hours start to finish so pretty slow.. my cervix just doesn't seem willing to play ball. Baby is v.low and has been for a while, but my cervix just doesn't seem to want to open! I've had 4 sweep attempts now (last Monday, Thursday, Sunday and last night), all unable to be done as cervix wasn't dilated at all. Bored out of my mind.. I'd feel so much better if SOMETHING was happening, even just weak contractions really far apart.. but nothing. Would really appreciate some success stories 🙏

Update for you all - baby girl born yesterday afternoon by emcs.

Bloody horrendous time of it ☹️ spoke to dr Thursday night who said she would break waters which was sudden and really really painful (don't remember it being so awful when they broke them with dd1). Dr said scar tissue on cervix as I'd thought! No spontaneous contractions after and meconium in waters so put me on drip (4 painful attempts to get canular in my hand). Didn't have an epidural but fortunately contractions weren't terrible and was fine with gas and air. But still no dilation despite being on high dose of drip for hours and hours. After 9hrs on drip they told me I needed a csection. Took an hour and about 8 attempts to get the spinal injection done 😩 it was just awful scary thing after awful scary thing!! But she's here safe and sound and she's perfect ❤️ thank you all very much for the company and advice x

Oh congratulations!!

I'm so pleased to hear this Smile

The birth sounds a bit like my experience with ds1. Take it easy if you can and make sure you get some rest Thanks

Congratulations. Sorry you had a rubbish time of it but glad your little girl is here safely.
