did you start having sex again? I know its probably going to be the last thing on my mind, but I just want to know that I won't be doing myself any harm if its before the 6 week check up.

i just really, really don't fancy it whilst bleeding.

i have no sensitivity and dh doesn't like how it feels, either.

sammysam · 21/10/2007 13:43

beforesunrise-i can't remember exactly but i bled for about 6-7 weeks, maybe 8?

was absolutely petrified about my stitches-that plus sleep deprivation and feeling like i'd just been run over by a bus = why it took so long!!!!!!!!

LaDiDaDi · 21/10/2007 13:46

I bled for 4ish weeks, the first week was like a proper period than after that it was quite light spotting that needed no more than a pantyliner.

I think you bleed less after a section?

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 22/10/2007 11:17

It still doesn't feel quite right 10 weeks later, mind. It's TMI but I honestly feel like I've lost my gspot! Does it get better/back to normal eventually?

claireybee · 22/10/2007 12:38

It was ages for me! Firstly i bled for 10 weeks, then dd was still frequently feeding (at least every 1.5-2 hours)and hated being put down anywhere so when i did have time without her attached to me the last thing i wanted was dh ataching himself to me. Poor bloke couldn't even touch me for months (felt like!) without me screaming "I need space"

maviscrewit · 22/10/2007 14:52

Oh god I feel so abnormal - 9 months after dd1, conceived straightaway and now dd2 is 13 months and we haven't yet. Thing is I initiated it the first time and am waiting for DH to show an interest. Makes me feel most unnattractive to say the least and wondering if he's getting it elsewhere . I want to but I want him to more IYSWIM. But hey the kids keep me busy so I try not to think about it .

spookykitty · 22/10/2007 15:06

about maybe 10 weeks after DD1 was born, wouldn't do it whilst still bleeding doesn't float my boat, had stitches and felt a bit raw downstairs

DD2 was about 8 weeks probably

LOVABUMP · 22/10/2007 17:29

About 3 weeks, my dh watched them perform episiotomy on me and wouldn't come near me! When I eventually persuaded him he muttered whole way through about what they did to me! Very off putting! Due in two weeks have told him not to look down this time!

lomondgore · 22/10/2007 17:46

dd1 (vag birth) was 6 weeks but I did have stitches.
dd2 (c-section) about 3 weeks

at a few days! Are you all wonderwomen????
Am I the only one who wouldn't till I stopped bleeding?

massivebigpumpkinface · 22/10/2007 17:53

Cod you are hilarious !
I totally agree too - I can't remember how long it was after either DD1 or DD2 but defo not before 6 weeks. Had Episiotimy with DD and tore horrifically with DD2 - My vag also looked like a crash in the channel tunnel

belcantavinissima · 02/11/2007 16:26

a few years. no, seriously

i think i had some unresolved issues
