I'm so tired! Just sorting out last bits. Not sure whether to breastfeed again or bottle. I'm leaning more to bottle but does that mean i take bottles and milk with me? Oh i feel like a first time mum! Lol

Mrsjaffabiffa · 10/09/2007 20:41

Let's leave off the sticky stuff, poor missy seems to have had a lot of it over the last few days.

lulu your pics are lovely, all the times we've crossed paths I never thought to check out your profile. Doh, you are not far off how I imagined though.

lulumama · 10/09/2007 20:42

thanks mrs JB !

everyone else seems to imagine me as a giggly blonde for some reason !

missy hospital will provide bottles of formula, you could try breast first and see how it goes, as harder to go from bottle to breast if you start with bottle

I was dead against it when pg with dd1 and then i had no probs whatsoever. How ever i found all the demand feeding hard. I imagined you as brunette lulu but can't get on profiles with my phone.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 10/09/2007 20:58

Give breast ago missy if you can, you never know how it may go. I had troubles with my first, managed 6 weeks and then was sooooo exhausted and unhappy I turned to the bottle. With dd1 I was desperate to try again and it was brill, she was easy from the first latch, fed like a trooper, slept through at 10 weeks and she gave it up at 8mths herself.
With dd2, I couldn't wait to feed her, it felt so special with dd1 and I was soooo looking forward to that time together again. She couldn't do it!!! She just could not latch correctly, I was distraught, cried infront of my midwife on every visit for 4 weeks after. I was shattered, she was not back to birth weight at 4 weeks and I was encouraged to give her some formula, I did carry on trying to feed her until 10 weeks but it was no use. I can not tell you how upset I was, I cried & cried every time I gave her a bottle. I know it was the best thing for her in the end but i felt robbed.

I am not against bottles at all, they can be very conveinient, my problem was nothing to do with formula it was purely an emotional attatchment thing for me.

What ever you decide will be right for you but as lulu says you can go from breast to bottle easily, it's not easy to go from bottle to breast.
