Hi! I'm 40 + 3 today and starting to feel like this is never going to happen. I have had no mucous plug or show that I know of, very few braxton hicks so feel like i have no idea when it's going to start! Baby is 2/5ths engaged so really low now and i am getting a lot of the sharp stabbing cervix pains in the evenings every night now but that's about it!
Anyone else getting annoyed and want to share?!
I also can't drive as of yesterday as I can't shut my legs enough to reach the pedals properly! So house bound now and wondering if today could go any slower!
Sorry for all the moaning!! Please feel free to add your own moans and keep me company! :)

Only just got chance to update! Went into labour 8 am Wednesday, baby boy born Thursday at 4.30am at 40+12. Smile

Wonderful sera!

40+4 now, but not actually wishing the baby out just yet. Would like to go to 'my' due date of 5/03. So five more days!

Pretty bored of it all now though and spending too much money nesting!

kitkatkaty87 · 28/02/2015 06:24

Congrats sera! Boy or girl and what was the weight? :) I am 40 + 12 today and nothing happening here so I am off for induction this morning.x

Joining in the overdue fun- 40+4 today after a failed sweep yesterday (just too painful and ridiculously low bishop score anyway). My induction is booked for Wednesday (41+1) though after reading up this seems a little early? I was getting a lot of tightenings in the run up to me EDD so a bit surprised to still be here Sad

FoulsomeAndMaggotwise · 28/02/2015 08:45

Congratulations Sera!

Good luck kitkat - nearly time now.

fluffymouse · 28/02/2015 09:01

Congratulations serafina it sounds like you managed to avoid the induction!

Welcome little and peppermint!

Peppermint guidelines say to book induction between 41and 42 weeks, so 41+1 isn't particularly early, but you could always postpone if you want.

I'm 40+8 today and wouldn't mind being induced today. I feel like a beached whale!

Littleturkish · 28/02/2015 11:07

I've been told to go in Monday for a sweep and they'll book my induction if they think I'm good to go at 40+7/8. I think I may go naturally though, I'd prefer that over induction. I have issues getting to the hospital in time as we are in the middle of a move and currently without a house in the area where my hospital is! So this is an induction for social reasons! (In my consultant's words!)

Littleturkish · 28/02/2015 11:10

Good luck kitkat!!

PeppermintInfusion · 28/02/2015 11:51

I'm just worried about it not working more than anything! Being overdue is sooo frustrating Smile

jennyB123 · 28/02/2015 11:58

40+1 today...officially overdue!!

Not fed up yet..symptom watching like crazy tho! Been loosing some goop which is brown Shock but think that's cus of a sweep I had on Wednesday....

Can't wait to meet our baby! Pink or blue pink or blue GrinSmile

Serafinaaa · 28/02/2015 16:17

Yes, avoided induction, it was booked for the next day! The baby was estimated 8.13 lb a week before he was born but actually came out as 8.1 lb.

fluffymouse · 28/02/2015 17:31

Well done serafina! Its good you managed to avoid induction.

I would far rather things happen naturally, but I'm just so fed up now too.

I wish this little girl would just get a move on!

fluffymouse · 04/03/2015 15:01

I'm delighted I managed to avoid induction after going into labour naturally, and had a very easy labour with dd2. (Which is completely different to my first experience)

Littleturkish · 06/03/2015 19:51

I had my induction on Wednesday and it was great, gel in at 10am and all started to get going at 4pm and my baby girl was born at 6:30pm. Lovely birth, bit manic but all good. Wonderful baby girl who sleeps, feeds and snuggles. Can't beat that.

Good luck everyone!
