so here we are, 2 days over due, had irregular contractions since 8am.
and at 3pm I think my waters broke so we are going to hospital to get checked.

it could be it, or false alarm, but I had a mother of a contractions 10 minutes ago ago - the next one I will need G&A with!!!!

I'll try to update as I can.

wish me luck

Well come on, I've been off and cooked and eaten dinner, there must be an update, surely?

So is anyone in the UK left on this thread, or is it just us sad expats? Running out of Sangria... and it's too hot to sleep.

AdoraBell · 18/07/2014 03:19

I reckon the locals have all gone to bed, those who are not waiting to give birth of course. Have a sangria for me would you Downamong I have visiting DCs and one of mine at another friend's and I so do don't want to crack open the vino ATM.

Happy to oblige Adora (love the name, just re-read Making Money with your lovely namesake starring this may be the sangria talking )

AdoraBell · 18/07/2014 03:28

Amazing, I'm halfway through re-reading it too. Can't remember where I put it since DDs had a couple of weeks of exams and are now on holidayHmm

Hope you're cuddling your new baby by now [wonders if I'm the only local on the thread]

I'm in the UK and not waiting to give birth so now I rather feel I've crashed the party!

Just didn't want to be mithering because I thought no updates were probably for good reason.
As I'm here now I'll send continued good wishes and wait anxiously for news.
I saw you expat lot and thought there was an update from the family, was reet disappointed, sangria though delicious is not baby levels of exciting - unless I'm making it wrong? Maybe you have to be somewhere glorious and beachy, that probably makes all the difference.

ellie glad to see someone from Blighty! You are up late. Adora my dc have been off since the first week of JUNE. All my brain can cope with is MN and Mr Pratchett.

Do you think Mr Zing has been instructed to let us know? It's my first live birth thread, and I don't know the ..er.. etiquette.

Also in UK but I am waiting for a baby.

Hoping Zing is enjoying newborn cuddles right now and doesn't have a fecking noisy bird screeching outside her window.

Hope it's great news and lovely cuddles now!

Another sad expat here. I can't even keep anyone company with wine as I'm 28 days into my whole30 and haven't had any booze since mid-June. Which is really quite amazing for me!

16 week old DS2 is snoring and I should really head to bed before back to work tomorrow. Am tres jealous OP has her whole maternity leave stretching out before her!

I hear there are some crazy storms in UK right now, hope people can still sleep.

Come on baby Zing (again!)

This is our winter holiday downamong, only two weeks so I'm relatively sane at this time of year. The summer is a different beast.

Congrats to those with new/still tiny babies.
