Anyone else due this week WAITING & keen to get going ?!!

I'm due Christmas Day; saw the MW on Friday who said head was eng and cervix favourable. She did a sweep to help matters along (early, due to borderline age- I'm 39).
She predicted it would be before Xmas & I've had the show over the last few days. Had cramps on Monday & thought it was kicking off but nothing since. I got my hopes up Grin
Now in weird parallel universe of anticipation!!
Anyone else waiting it out?

Oh ladies I was so hoping by the time I got to the top of the thread I would have seen great news. These little ones are really tricking us.. I had bad pains about 2 wks ago but it was baby moving from transverse to head down. Was so hoping it was all kicking off. For some strange reason I drink tones of water when I get bad BH or pains and i really find it helps calm them down. Kinda sorts out BH from contractions IYKWIM.
I've also spent nights on the sofa with pains, and nothing it's so disappointing.
I've been told its another girl Smile so 4 ladies will be fun and expensive... Lol still not believing it 100% even though I've been told by 3 doc it's a girl. This pregnancy has been different and I would have loved the boy. But if it is a lady it will complete our family perfectly too. As long as baby is healthy that's the main thing.
Plus the girls would love another sister..
Last day of school today yay !!GrinGrin So it's chill time from here on, no more having to pack lunches/ bags/ and school runs!!

I am hoping that I will go natural from now until Monday after that I would like baby to wait till after Xmas. I would hate to miss girls on Xmas morning..

So ladies here's hoping babies will get a move on!!!

I had contractions ALL evening, and they just stopped when I went to bed. So upsetting.

We are 4 days away from christmas ladies, one of us is going to have a christmas baby!!!!
I have to rush around london and do some last mnte shopping..

Nothing doing here today... Am planning on having a G &T tonight when I watch the strictly final! MIL swears gin got her into labour 3 times! Think it will do no harm at this stage Xmas Grin
Keep those endorphins going ladies...
4 girls 3peas !! How gorgeous.
Agree one of us must have a baby to put in the manger on Christmas Day.

Nothing here either today, although my back has been agony all day, instead of moaning id like to think its a sign! Haha!

Going up to my sisters for a curry later, she drinks gin so maybe I should have one too? I don't really like it but I've heard that too, and don't think vodka will have the same effect! Grin

Hello ladies- Well it was a sign of a clear out. Had 7lb7oz baby girl today at 11.30am, hence no reply!
Contractions started as twinges at about 1am this morning and progressed quite quickly to strong'uns by 5am. Bath at 6, on the way to hospital at 7.30.

Sounds like your labour wasn't too bad too. So pleased for you! Now I wont under estimate the importance of going to the bathroom haha !

How did that gin work for you guys? I had a glass of wine instead, couldn't quite do the gin, too much heart burn.

Nothing here. At all. Not even BH. Just going to have a nap. Need it after a night of peeing and not being able to breathe !

Hope you are all feeling more or less ok. Who will be the next of the thread??? xx

Nothing here either, I managed a gin but to no avail! Had a few very strong BH last night and this morning but that's it so currently bouncing on my ball.

I have a sweep booked for 10am 2moro Shock not looking forward to it.... X

Gin didn't work for me but was very merry! Tasted amazing after a year if abstainance!!! Mild BH but didn't get going after I went to bed. Trying to enjoy as much sleep as I can as DH and I were remembering the sleep dep last night... Not looking forward to that!!! But if course soooooo excited to meet my little one..Xmas Grin

D day today and nothing either! So I am crossing my legs till Boxing Day and baby can arrive anytime after that.. Grin (if only)

Nothing here today... Although baby is being very active which is nice.
I have 10 people coming for christmas at ours if baby doesnt come tomorrow which is freaking me out!

Had a few contractions tonight but they went nowhere as usual...Sad

Can I join ladies. Just seen this thread!

I'm exactly one week late today. I had a sweep on Friday...and nothing! No BH, a single cramp or anything. If nothing happens ill be induced on 27th, but have a feeling this little one will arrive on Xmas day at this rate.

Tried EVERYTHING, clary sage, raspberry leaf, bouncing on ball, reflexology, hot bath ... Nothing working;(

You are brave having 10 for dinner.. We are only having ourselves and I'm looking forward to it, as we usually have a few. I feel it could be pjs dinner and cuddles with the girls. So really looking forward to a relaxing day. (As long as baby stays put in the day)
I went and did last few bits n bobs for Xmas, cooked dinner, and wrapped presents. Really don't feel anything happening at all.

It's horrible going over, but at least you have a date to b induced. I remember that with dd1 &2

Have any of you tried fresh pineapple yet?? I did last week and it gave me an upset tummy. But I'm going to try again after Xmas day.

Welcome dirtydancing. It drove me mad trying all the remedies last time; raspberry leaf tea tastes like old socks Xmas Sad I was eating 2 pineapples a day 3peas - can't face either this time (but DD LOVES pineapple now)
Happy due date too... At least you're not in a hurry now.
Lots of baby movement here too Fergie. Seemed to go mad before contractions the other day... Bump has dropped again & I can hardly walk.

I've made no plans to invite people for Christmas but now feel a bit odd as just the three of us rattling round waiting for something to happen!!!

Hope one of us gets woken with contractions tonight x

AFergie we are having a boy Smile and he is clearly like his daddy, laid back and a bit late! Lol Come out babba!

Arty, 3 peas I also ate a whole pineapple on Friday and all it did was put my teeth on edge and acid erode my teeth! Lol

I've had like two twinges in my leg in the last hour, prob nothing but a muscle spasm or something(!) but I'm clinging onto anything right now.
