Poll: At what time of the day did labour start for you?

I have this feeling that contractions will start (if they will start) at night/ during the early hours of the morning. That's how it was with dd1 (induced with dd2) and that's how it was with most people I've spoken to personally.

So I thought I'd ask a wider group of people - is there anybody here who had contractions starting at, say, lunchtime?

It never did start - he had to be blasted out - I made him far too comfy. Needed a CS in the end so he was hauled out.

Had good strong bh for most of the Wed, but was woken at 1am with proper, well established labour.

essbee · 07/06/2006 20:38

My ds was sort of staggered so hard to tell! He was born early morning though. My dd started just after midnight and was born the following night.

At about 8 am I got the first twinges, nothing really bad until about 5 pm. Ds was born at 9 pm.

skerriesmum · 07/06/2006 20:48

Good luck emkana! You know we're all rooting for you!

mumfor1standfinaltime · 07/06/2006 21:00

Waters broke at 6am, contractions started at 8am. Ds born at 7.29pm by emergency c section.

8am seems to be popular!

Miaou · 07/06/2006 21:02

Dd1: 10pm

dd2: 10am (after being up all night with d&v - I think my body said "right might as well get rid of this baby while we're about it"Wink)

Miaou · 07/06/2006 21:03
