Poll: At what time of the day did labour start for you?

I have this feeling that contractions will start (if they will start) at night/ during the early hours of the morning. That's how it was with dd1 (induced with dd2) and that's how it was with most people I've spoken to personally.

So I thought I'd ask a wider group of people - is there anybody here who had contractions starting at, say, lunchtime?

12pm NZ time with ds
5.30am with dd

Dd1-Didn't know i was having contractions till the last phase and BAM-She was born at 7.53pm.
Dd2-Felt first period pain type contraction at 11.30am and dd was born at 12.30midday.

About 9pm.

induced both times so never went into labour naturally. I was quite glad really as i was scared id be in asda or something!

My waters broke at about 7ish in the morning for both of mine. Never really had any contractions. ds born by c-section at 5.30 in the afternoon, dd born (also c-section) at about midnight three days after my waters broke.

Woke me up about 6.30 am.

i was induced with 3 of mine, dd1 started at 2 am, i woke to find id had a show and contractions started straight away.

DS - waters broke at 6:30am. Proper contractions started at 6:45pm. He was born at 2:50am the next morning.

DD - proper contractions started at about 6:45am. She was born at 1:26pm that day.

evening about 11pm both times...Actually with dd2 the contractions started at 4am in the morning but things didn't get going properly till 11pm so we ended up doing a late night dash to the hospital.

my waters broke at 4am, i woke up and thought i had wet the bed

First twinge at 01.30am. DS born at 18.11 that day.

Dd1-started at 2am was born at 8am
Dd2-5.30pm was born at 8.39pm

dd1 main contractiona started during early hours of morning.

dd2 evening

dd3 couple of biggies whilst shopping with dh in York. Managed to get him into Habitat and agree to purchase of gorgeous huge arm chair and footstool between contractions. Bless!

11.30pm straight after watching The Terminator on telly.

4.45pm after lugging Jess round DH's work place all afternoon.

Lunchtime (11-11:30ish) for both labours. Both lasted 9-10hrs.
Was expecting to be middle of the night after hearing that is more common. Supposedly because of the animal instinct, warm dark cosy secure place thing. Could get blackout blinds and snuggle up with a duvet all morning(!?!?).

Waters broke at 4.20ish am - started getting contractions at about 10.30am ish which got more regular at about 12.30p.m and DD was born at 9.50am the following day

First twinges when I went to bed midnightish. Slept ok, but getting more painful by 7.30 am, hospital by 1pm, baby here by 6pm.

4am my waters broke and the contractions started immediately.

both mine were very similar

dd - waters broke 9pm, contractions really started 1am, born 9.17am

ds - niggling contractions from 11pm, stronger at 4am, waters broke at 10am, born 11.50am

both were about 12 hrs from start to finish, with about 6hrs of established labour til delivery.

Contractions started 2am Friday morning.
Regularly contracted until...
DD born 10.44am Saturday morning.

First teeny twinges at 4am, 4am and midnight.

two of mine started at around mid day, one at around 3pm and one at about 6 or 7 pm

Waters broke 4.15 am.

Contractions started 10.30 am.
