First babies: when did yours arrive?

Expecting my first, due date is 12 October. I read that on average 1st babies come about 8 days after the 280-day period the doctor calculates. I'm really curious to know how early/late others went into labour with number one!

3 weeks early with a 4 hour labour

10 days late. He came the night before I was due to induced.

3-4 weeks early with first (discrepancy over exact due date); 2 weeks early with second. Don't know what it's like to get to 40 weeks!

ds1 arrived on his due date, waters broke at 5am the day before and i spent the rest of the time in agony before he decided to make his entrance at 1.45am.

ds2 was 8 days late but arrived in less than 5hrs

Induced at 42+0 weeks and baby born next day i.e. 15 (looooooooooong!) days late

was due to be induced at 4pm on day 14 after due date. DS turned up at 3:40pm. we joke he thought the appointment was his, not mine.(labour was 34 hours-not that you want to hear that at this stage)

after i had listened to everyone who said BABIES HARDLY EVER ARRIVE ON TIME! dd did! in an incredible 4!!!!! hours of labour, and we had put the car in for its MOT! taxi took me but not until he'd put the wet dog plastic on the seat

One day before the due date

12 days over

Number one came on due date, apparently only 5% of babies do?

Would have hated to have waited any longer, was starting to get fed up with the wriggler!! plus it was too hot (august), plan to have the next in winter months!!!

dd1 was 14 days late, 58 hours of labour, emergency c-section under general. (dd2, 7 days early, vaginal delivery with epidural; dd3 on due date with gas and air and bouncy ball thing after 4 hours labour - so i did get better at it all!)

dd came a few hours after her due date..! After a 12 hour labour.

5 wks early - 2 days after our antenatal class and 2 days b4 the breastfeeding one!

Ds was due on 17th Oct. Arrived five days later on 22nd.

SIL's arrived on due date (24th April) - but her hospital gave her 4 different due dates (24th being the last revised date she got)- mine stuck with the one from the 12 week scan saying it wasn't a precise science anyway

i was 12 days overdue and was induced.

Due 7 October arrived 18 August.

first one was born at 37 weeks due to pre-eclampsia.

6 days late

11 days late. Do not be induce unless absolutely neccessary....imho... Arrrghh

In hospital 10pm, 5cm at 4am, DD born at 9.15pm.

42 wks on the dot
3.30pm on the hottest day of the year, he was waiting for the good weather, clever lad :)

Hope someone is going to collate all this onfo and present it to consultants?
