First babies: when did yours arrive?

Expecting my first, due date is 12 October. I read that on average 1st babies come about 8 days after the 280-day period the doctor calculates. I'm really curious to know how early/late others went into labour with number one!

Due 31st Aug 05, induction started 12th Sept 05 (am), dd arrived 14th Sept 05 (pm)(emergency section).

Labour started early morning of 39+4, eventually had em c/s late evening of 39+5. I was sooooo convinced he'd be late (babies in my family have always been 2 weeks late) that I didn't have a bag packed.

Induced the 4th.

Born on the 5th.

Ds was 15 days over. Induced at 40+14 and he arrived next day after 90mins established labour.

though i always said my due date according to my dates was 9th of june and she didn't arrive until the 23rd!

I was 10 days late with DD1 so I got on the castor oil and she was born that night/morning.

Lmp gave 4th, scan at 7 wks gave same, scan at 11 wks gave 2nd, I just knew that I wouldn't go far overdue, and I liked the sound of the 4th! Had my show on the 2nd and the baby on the 4th! Pretty perfect. So he is Grin

15 long days late. Had tried everything even jumping up and down. Started naturally in the end but still needed to be induced. Hope you have yours on the due day Gem its my birthday!!

Went into labour four days late according to officialdom, but actually on the day I had worked out in the first place.

Waters broke the morning of the day he was due and I went into hospital very pleased that my baby knew when to come. Unfortunately, nothing further happened and I was induced the next day and he came early in the morning following, so 2 days late altogether.
