This from the Mirror -

"Alexa Louise Florence Hughes weighed in at 6lbs. She was delivered by Caesarean section because Amanda, had a low-lying placenta that blocked the birth canal."

Enough please - leave her alone.

Can I say it's all bollocks anyway, I know I'm only a teen but I got into size 8's for the first time ever 3 months post DD, without a personal trainer or joining a gym, and my bits are just the same as they were... shrug the worst bit is the stretch marks, I mean, you can't be too posh for stretch marks they just happen! And c-sections are as unpleasant as giving birth through the manhole... manhole! My new word for it! Sunroof and manhole!

To conclude, they're idiots if they think c-sections are nicer, and we should leave them along because either way it's tough.

4blue1pink · 23/02/2006 19:37

I'd rather have labour than CS any day of the week, I'd freak out so much, and I like to be on my feet instantly... I think it's just personal choice and in this day and age who cares does it hurt their kids? No!

4blue1pink · 23/02/2006 19:43

Spod - you make it very obvious that you have not experienced labour.

I think you are being quite rude 4blue1pink.

LIZS · 23/02/2006 19:47

I thought that until I read that it was late at night and she'd had other plans for the evening. Didn't think the baby was that early - maybe 10 days or so.

4blue1pink · 23/02/2006 19:48

just realistic

get your medals out often do you then?

oh sorry, silly me .. they don't give out medals on the labour ward do they?

nutcracker · 23/02/2006 19:50

It's been reported what the problem was and so why she had a section.

Just admit you were wrong.

stephanie21 · 23/02/2006 19:50

i begged for a c section the last time round!
number 4 was an emergency section (placenta came away) and with number 5,i got myself all into a panic that it would happen again!(they couldnt stop the bleeding and afterwards i was so poorly!).i begged and pleaded with the consultant for another one as i became so convinced that my scar would open up and i would die!!or that my placenta would come away again and id die that way too!!she totally refused to give me one and i had her naturally.which was the most painful labour i have ever had!(and it did feel like she was ripping her way through my scar!)sorry for any mums waiting to give birth!!if id had my way,id have been knocked out for a c section and then woke up to a clean baby!(and no im not saying that a c section is the easy way out-my scar came open and got infected and i thought everything would fall out!-so dont really know why i wanted another!)

4blue1pink · 23/02/2006 19:52

reported in the mirror ....pllleeaase!

I have friends who are journalists on he Mirror and the Sun ... I will not even entertain being wrong....

mcmudda · 23/02/2006 19:54

I've had an emergency c-section and then a VBAC - I wouldn't have the recovery after a c-section again even if you paid me - utter misery.

So once again, as there was a valid medical reason for her to have a section, can we leave this now. Nothing to see here - step away from the thread.

mcmudda · 23/02/2006 19:54

4blue1pink - why the personal vendetta against Amanda Holden of all people -are you in fact Les Dennis???

nutcracker · 23/02/2006 19:55

Of course you won't entertain being wrong, cos you will look like a right idiot for starting a thread on something you didn't have the correct facts about.

doormat · 23/02/2006 19:55

hey whats wrong with the mirror
agree with the sun though

Twiglett · 23/02/2006 19:57

"what's wrong with the mirror .. agree with the sun though"

PMSL .. that's the funniest thing I've heard in ages

welshboris · 23/02/2006 19:58
