How come I can conceive and carry through a pregnancy but I can't finish one?

I think we're all going to be massively disappointed when nickelbabe returns later, apologising for disappearing all afternoon, having had another ruck with the Doctor Who Must Be Obeyed when she went for today's monitoring followed by a lovely dinner out with her friend.

Perhaps it's all a clever ploy. We can hope it's her friend updating FB so no one twigs she's actually in labour. (Too far fetched?)
