Tom Cruise - what a w****r!

Apparently, (and having heard his views on post-natal depression, I can believe it) Katie Holmes will have to follow the scientologist rules of childbirth ie no noise (!) in case it traumatises the baby and no pain relief (!) which would surely traumatise the mother...

Anyone out there managed this?!

Probably the result of living w/a weirdo like Tom for a decade. That'd be enough to do in the strongest constitution.

Apparently he was most displeased that she never converted to Scientology. In other words, she was too clever for him.

Who is Katie Holmes? how old and is she really a virgin? sorry never heard of her until I saw something about them on the TV.

The film he and nicole were in was Eyes Wide Shut

teeavee · 07/10/2005 15:54

27, on dawson's creek - i've never actually seen dawson's creek either!

expatinscotland · 07/10/2005 15:55

Is she really a virgin? That's pretty doubtful, IMO. She's 27.

MassacreOHara · 07/10/2005 15:56

never seen dawsons creek.. only adverts for it was she the dark haired girl? I think that was the main female character (long trailers on T4 Sunday when I used to watch Hollyoaks with a hangover pre dd)

MassacreOHara · 07/10/2005 15:56

expat that was my next question.

expatinscotland · 07/10/2005 15:57

I couldn't stomach 'Dawson's Creek', mainly b/c of ditzy, wonky-faced Katie Holmes.

tribpot · 07/10/2005 16:00

I still recall with a certain fondness "Howling Wolf Woman" from when I had ds (admittedly this was only three months ago, but I think I will always recall it). She was howling like a wolf when I was still able to watch eps of the West Wing to distract myself, and she was still howling like a wolf when I had had ds (with a considerable amount of noise made myself, I should add) and was being taken back to the maternity ward 9 hours later.

I think she was probably not a Scientologist.

nailpolish · 07/10/2005 16:01

if i were katie i would tell him to F off and not attend the birth (seriously i would)

imagine if she started screaming and he says to her in a smarmy voice "remember dear, we talked about this, you must be silent"

she would probably swing for him (with the mw holding him down)

teeavee · 07/10/2005 16:01

sounds more like some sort of pagan full-moon worshipper! lol

PeachyClairPumpkinPie · 07/10/2005 16:03

DmaeMNalry, are we sisters? My Mum says exactly the same thing. Doesn't 'get the fuss'.

(she did average 30 minute labours tho)

Isn't the case that Scientology appreentices... sorry, babies... are born in the dark so the light doesn't scare them?

teeavee · 07/10/2005 16:04

i can see the point in that, actually - you're allowed to request dimmed lighting in maternity suites, aren't you

nailpolish · 07/10/2005 16:05

teeavee, i always thought that was because you looked and felt so shitty, and you didnt want your dh to see (joke)

lua · 07/10/2005 16:06

LOl Trib ! That was me!!!

LadyFioOfTipton · 07/10/2005 16:06

well Im 27, I feel seriously sorry for her if this is the first time she has sex and its to a stumpy dick who has got her preg

expatinscotland · 07/10/2005 16:08

What if she has a malpositioned baby? This is more common than you'd think. Mine had her hand up over her ear and her head was turned sideways. It hurt like hell!

PeachyClairPumpkinPie · 07/10/2005 16:10

That was Dame malory- evidently has some weird keyboard moment there!

yes, she was the one in the ads with the dark hair. One main character was blond, one dark- that applied to male and female characters (I think, no expert!), original that.

PeachyClairPumpkinPie · 07/10/2005 16:11

Teevee (sp)

yes you can request it, but different from HAVING to have it... I had dimmed lighting, but if someone had told me I'd be having to have it I would have been very upset

happymerryberries · 07/10/2005 16:16

THis must be a first....we have found something that all mners seem to agree on!

No-one to defend ol Tom then???

ScrewballMuppet · 07/10/2005 16:20

To be told during labour to be quiet that you were making to much noise....they wouldn't stand a chance PMSL

expatinscotland · 07/10/2005 16:20

he's a wank stain, hmb, and a brain-washed one at that.

happymerryberries · 07/10/2005 16:22

Don't bugger about expat...tell me what you realy think of him

tarantula · 07/10/2005 16:53

errrr Im trying to think of something HMB but have failed miserably. Hes a crap actor too.

NightmaresMary · 07/10/2005 16:56

Tom Cruise was a w@nker, is a w@nker and always will be a w@nker.

The eternal w@nker.
