ah matt. He is still dealing with a complaint I have about a broken toy which hurt my ds! He is clearly a busy man...

Ah yes the well known Mothercare Annoyed Twunts T*echnique? Wonder if it's version one or version 2, version two has sarcasm Wink

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 25/08/2010 19:41

I feel another MN campaign coming on -

"Mothercare - Reveal Your Matt"

Perhaps he's their equivalent of the Stig, and it'll all get nasty when he decides he's had enough of being hidden away in the basement with all the broken pushchairs and faulty toys

whomovedmychocolate · 25/08/2010 19:46

Any chance he is trying to lose weight on Alli? Shock

Okay, well the good news is you can remove even quite a lot of poo from a carpet. Now personally I'd get the worst of it off and then steam clean the room top to bottom to sanitise it - worth buying some sanitiser as well to kill any bugs.

But personally I would have them both killed - it's kinder in the long run Wink

nappyzoneloveschinesefood · 25/08/2010 19:49

whomoved i think you should have posted that on the pooing visitors thread Grin

whomovedmychocolate · 25/08/2010 20:21

How the hell did that happen then? Confused Grin

midnightexpress · 25/08/2010 20:49

having received my Matt email earlier today, I've now had one telling me that the car seat has dispatched.

curiouser and curiouser....
insertexpletive · 25/08/2010 20:56

Whomoved have things got so bad at Mothercare that someone is now pooing themselves?

Midnight ohhh - were you extra nice to Matt?

midnightexpress · 25/08/2010 20:57
Wink
nappyzoneloveschinesefood · 25/08/2010 20:58

midnight what time did you get that one?

midnightexpress · 25/08/2010 21:00

just a wee while ago - about 8.30.

PotPourri · 25/08/2010 21:23

maybr they havr honoiured a set amount e.g first 50 or summit...

midnightexpress · 25/08/2010 21:23

Well that seems a bit unfair on everyone else?

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 25/08/2010 21:42

All's fair in love and war and Mothercare car seats

Fingers crossed for you Smile

trixymalixy · 25/08/2010 21:51

Waaah, mine has been cancelled too. Was definitely too good to be true.

Hope your arrives midnightexpress!! have you got you flat on the market yet? How's DS1 enjoying school?

Sorry for hijack!

Wraakkie · 25/08/2010 21:55

A right b@lls up by Mothercare, they have gone down in my estimation. They aren't being upfront and honest, just backtracking. I have got one e-mail saying it has been cancelled due to incorrect pricing, another due to availability - at least get your story straight.

I won't be buying anything from them again.

Giddyup · 25/08/2010 21:57

Bless you midnightexpress, fingers crossed for you here too

midnightexpress · 25/08/2010 22:07

DS1's doing fine so far - he can read a few words already! Flat's on the market, yep, but not much action and mortgage is proving a bit tricky - gah.

Will keep you all posted as to whether the seat arrives or not.
LilyBolero · 25/08/2010 22:08

I've followed this thread (as needed to buy a carseat, but got a Britax one, still reduced by 50% though in Mothercare!).

I'm really surprised people are so hacked off they're talking about not shopping there again. Tbh, if I made a mistake financially in that way, I'd really hope people could understand the mistake and let it be rectified, rather than saying "by law I am ENTITLED to this, so you must lose loads of money".

And hopefully no-one has LOST anything, just disappointment that it really was too good to be true...

midnightexpress · 25/08/2010 22:10

Trixy, how's the new job going?

MarthaQuest · 25/08/2010 22:13

well so far I've lost £9 as they've not reunded the money from my account yet Angry

mamatomany · 25/08/2010 23:13

I wonder how much interest Mothercare are making on all these £9.00 deposits into their account, they are having the last laugh it would seem.

whomovedmychocolate · 25/08/2010 23:27

Allegedly they don't take payment till the item is dispatched so, err....that'd be none then mamtomany :)

MrsDrOwenHunt · 26/08/2010 08:35

well they have taken my £9 so that blows that theory out the window a bit!

knickers0nmyhead · 26/08/2010 08:45

£18 gone out of my bank Hmm
